Neil Young has received 3 Grammy nominations: one for Best Rock Album (Le Noise) and two for “Angry World,” for Best Rock Song and Best Solo Rock Vocal Performance.
Last year, Neil Young won his first-ever Grammy Award for the Archives Box. After approximately a dozen or more nominations (he did not receive his first Grammy nomination until 1989, for the video for “This Note’s For You”), next year may be Neil's first Grammy for actual music.
Now we have to admit that we've been a bit cynical about Grammy Awards in the past. Year after year after year, we've have blogged on the injustice of the Grammy Awards handed out by industry elites, so none of any of this should come as a surprise to anyone.

Time to go gaga over this announcement!
Actually though, regardless of past controversies and legitimacey and all, LeNoise has garnered well-deserved praise for exactly what it is, an excellent album and performance, as well as production. Not to mention (but I will) it's innovation for release format and video collection. Neil is the engine leading the train. As usual.
Isn't it time for a book called "Neil Young and Philosophy?"
In this Pop Culture and Philosophy Series by Open Court, so far there is no book on Neil Young and yet there on books on: Rush, U2, Jimmy Buffet, Dylan, Floyd, the Dead, Springsteen, etc. It's a crime to omit Neil in this compelling book series.
Please show your support so we can get Open Court to publish a book on this topic! They say they need "support" so let's show it!

I'm stoked about this. This album - not to mention this artist - deserves the recognition. (It should have been in the Album of the Year category, too, but that's just me . . .)

Much too late,but better late than never.Congratulation Neil,hope you don't turn away from this success as you did in the past after "Heart of gold"!

Le Noise has to be among the best, if not the best, albums of 2010
