Lots of rumors flying around now prior to tomorrow's official announcement. It seems like the much hyped speculation of a Buffalo Springfield reunion may be possibly true. At least with respect to Stephen Stills and Neil Young.
Obviously, several other original Buffalo Springfield members will not be able to make the gigs, sadly.
Several other major "A+" grade artists strongly rumored.

How mindblowing can totally mindblowing be?
Bert Jansch is sorry to announce that he has to undergo an urgent operation to deal with complications arising from his recent lung cancer. As a result, he has sadly had to pull out of the upcoming Gulf Coast leg of Neil Young’s current solo tour as well as cancel a series of solo shows on the East Coast where Pegi Young was due to open for him with her band. Bert is deeply disappointed to be missing the shows, and apologises sincerely to all the fans who were hoping to see him. He has enjoyed every moment of touring with Neil over the last few months, as well as the West coast shows he did with the wonderful Pegi Young band opening, and is looking forward to getting back on the road as soon as possible. Bert is also very disappointed to be missing an appearance at Farm Aid, which he was very much looking forward to. His doctors tell him he should be fit and well again soon, so Bert is looking forward to resuming touring as soon as he can.

Like the rest of you, I haven't seen the official announcement yet, but if Buffalo Springfield is indeed on the ticket, I wonder who will be in the lineup. I will be very disappointed if it's just Neil and Stills and some other artists as they've played together many times in CSNY and way back when as the Stills/Young Band. At very least, the lineup should include Richie Furay who is still performing. Jim Messina would be appropriate if he's available but Furay who was a major vocalist and songwriter in the band and, along with Neil and Stephen, among the last surviving original members of the band; he must be included I would think for this to be any sort of Buffalo Springfield reunion.

Expecting To Fly
ps: new google id expecting2fly1 starting with this post. I'm the same old Mike Cordova who's had this handle for a long time.
Absolutely e2f!
Nice ID handle!
Thanks!
I'd guess the lineup could be Young, Stills, Furay, Messina- they’d need a drummer. They would HAVE to include these guys to be the Springfield- this is a big deal and I HIGHLY doubt Neil would participate in a shoddy "so-called" reunion that included just himself and Stills- and call it The Buffalo Springfield- that's be the Stills-Young Band. Neil and Steven hold the Springfield in the highest regard and wouldn't shit on the legacy nor their memories of this exceptional band by doing that.
But yes, if true, this is a BIG DEAL. Wish I could be there :(
AG this is not a rumor. It is the lineup as stated above by Shittyhorse.Enjoy folks!
just a reminder--the Springfield (originally) were five guys named Neil Stephen Ritchie DEWEY and BRUCE--anything less might be "nice", it might even be great, but it WON'T be Buffalo Springfield...I hope EVERYBODY--including Stephen and Neil, will have respect for the legacy...
Asg, the BS songwriters and singers are all alive yet. My doubts are for the Steve vocals, almost shot during the last CSN concert which I've attended.
Andrea."So Tired"
yer right Andrea, but I believe a band is based on Human chemistry...at the very least it would be innaresting...even though it literally keeps coming up in my dreams, today I say "ya can't go home again"
uh, by "it" I mean the house I grew up in...a re-curring theme in nearly every dream--hmm that's a good line...
Neil is an intelligent and wise man. After the serious experiment with Lanois, a little fun with his old friends.Anyway, he'll try carefully his old companions...
Andrea."So Tired".
Yess!!! Any news if both Messina and Furay will be there?
C'mon ArchivesGuy, put us out of our misery and tell us just who is taking part in this Buffalo Springfield reunion!!
Please!!
:-D

so excited about this line up but does ANYONE have ideas on how to score reserved tickets for this concert?? I've gone every year since 1989 and have not once been able to get reserved seats. I'm on the phone and computer at 10am as soon as tickets go on sale but they are always sold out (and then the yahoos scalp them on craigslist) just ONCE i'd like to watch this concert from a actual seat rather than sliding down the lawn while my panties slowly ride up my crack.
I guess it makes sense that he'd do this now Ben Keith's dead; his solo band is basically defunct. I expected Crazy Horse or CSNY but not this! Cool stuff.
Hey winelips....lucky lawn!
Furay will attend according to Rollingstone.

Pretty awesome. The acoustic rule almost needs to be broken for this, however. They have to end the set with Bluebird, right? How righeous could that jam be if they were allowed to plug in? Also, love Richie's vocals, "Kind Woman" is such a beautiful song.
This isn't a cash grab, with a high-profile has-been reunion tour, it's for the Bridge and its kids. I'm cool with that. Perfect reason to get most of the gang together.
-Coby
rolling stone sez the rhythm section will be Rick Rojas (sp?) and Joe Vitalé...as I won't be there it might not matter, but *I* am hoping for an acoustic show...
BUFFALO SPRINGFIELD 2010
Stephen Stills
Richie Furay
Neil Young
Rick Rosas
Joe Vitale
No Messina huh? Pity...
Jim's on tour with Loggins and Messina on one of those dates. Still… too bad.
