Attention Facebook Users
Taking a page from that social networking genius Neil Young, we've been trying to learn from the master here at Thrasher's Wheat.
And we must say that when it comes to Facebook, we're obviously a doofus.
Some folks have been reporting that they've been getting double notifications on their Facebook wall when we post here.
The way this is supposed to work is that every post generates a ping to the RSS feed which is then picked up on Facebook. But what seems to have happened is that when we setup our Facebook account awhile back, somehow we managed to establish multiple profiles. We have no clue how a single login can create 3 profiles but somehow we managed to do it.
So you can be a Friend of TW, a Fan of TW, or a Follower of TW. Why in the world the service offers this - much less allows it, is another matter all together. In the meantime, we disabled our FB feed so hopefully folks are now receiving just a single notification each time we post.
If you have some other thoughts on how this Facebook thing works, please let us know in the comments below.
Sorry about that friends, fans and followers. We'll get this straightened out.
And thanx FM for caring enough to help us try and get this sorted out.

Hi Thrasher,
I was getting 2 updates but now zero?
Frank
Blah, integrated social networking doohickeys. I just come to www.thrasherswheat.com every morning and look for updates. That's right, the old-school way. Like, remember how we used to have to actually go to websites to see if there was any new content? Uphill both ways in the snow? Back in the archaic, ancient world of the 1990's? Well I'm still doing that.
This newfangled interconnected, crisscrossed information 20 car pileup just ain't for me. I prefer actually getting off my digital butt and typing in urls. Yeah, that's right, typing in urls, in that old, dusty box at the top of my browser window. Remember that thing?
It's like having a beautiful, old Ford T-Bird. Runs great, manual windows, manual locks, takes a real tough guy to crank that window down, know what I mean?
I hear you Matt. Nothing wrong with old school.
I'm hearing that some folks like getting updates via FB.
Maybe this is no big deal?
As long as folks aren't getting annoyed with 2 updates per post any longer and only getting one, that's cool.
Yeah, Thrash - I was just being silly. Sorry, I go overboard sometimes.
FB ain't such a bad thing.
It's convenient, but I still find myself resisting the change and convenience of web 9.5 or whatever they're up to now.
Ah, how I yearn for the old days of Internet Explorer 1.0, Doom 2 on a Pentium 1... and Rust Never Sleeps pouring out of my trusty, rusty jam-box!
Alright, I'll stop cluttering up your comments section now... peace in the Middle East!
