UPDATE: No Free Neil Young Concert in Toronto
Regarding the earlier news from Toronto Star that we blogged on last week about a free Neil Young concert in Toronto, "this will not happen" according to a well informed source.
As we wrote at the time very sceptically: We report. You decide.
And MSM wonders why its dying.

Why don't you tell us what is actually happening, instead of what's not happening?
As far as I know, it's a free screening of the Neil Young Trunk Show with live appearances from neil young and jonathon demme.
We've reported on Trunk show multiple times already.
Follow links for details.
Neil does what he feels like doing. I'm from TO and it would be nice if he did a couple of tunes by himself w/ a guitar. It was never mentioned as a free concert. What I initially understood was that he might w/ or w/ out Joan Biaz would tag there guitars along and strum a couple of songs prior to thr screening. Even if he doesn't sing it's still an event that I would not miss.
Think of the logistics if they did call it a free concert, it would be better held at City Hall around the corner!!!!!
Anything can happen?
Ya, but you havent
posted this.
A free screening of the Neil Young Trunk Show at dundas square september 14th at 8:00 with live appearances from neil young and jonathon demme.
This pasted from the Toronto Film Fest web site: "Monday, Sept. 14
9:00PM - TIFF Live In Concert Film Series: North American Premiere - The Neil Young Trunk Show ft. Neil Young with host Jonathan Demme"
who really believed this in the first place? it's like that chick on the rust list who insisted that neil played at the woodstock celebration a few weeks ago...it's NOT LIKE NEIL. he doesn't do these things. when's the last time he played a "few songs" at a film screening...oh yeah, right, NEVER.

never is an absolute and only Ah*les deals in them.
Oh yeah right Neil is predictable.
Anyway he is going to be there live or is it his body double, should still be a party, I'll be there.
the glass is half full
