When 'Hawks & Doves' was first released I was in my teens... oh man... I had my moments lost in space for sure. I remember taking in the tune nervously at first thinking about all that stuff like 'trying to get it together' - you know, "...he tried, but he could not." Funny also to some, I was gardening as a summer job and making art the rest of the time – wondering if I was drawing on the infinity board. I bought my first acoustic guitar then and taught myself by ear (listening to Neil) and with the help of a few friends, how to play. It took years before I was playing songs. I’m still gardening, still making art; still playing my guitar… hmmm where was I going with this… Oh yeah … Hey Neil, could you play “The Painter” when you come to Kingston?
