"I rate yesterday's show among my favorite Neil shows ever. Neil was having so much fun, smiles on his face and an intense performance throughout."

Werchter, Belgium 4th July concert.
Neil is clearly in his element at open-air festivals, even moreso than a concert hall.
Magic performances of Old Man, Needle and the Damage, Watchtower and the big surprise, A Day in the Life.
This was my seventh NY and he gets better and better- passion and intensity, which makes other performers look simplistic and boring.
Long may he rock!

I had a great time, damn cool show. Neil was having a lot of fun, big grins on his face all night long.
When You Dance and Fuckin' Up were "firsts" for this tour.
He nailed A Day In The Life, it's a tour de force I'll never forget.
Best Neil concert I've seen.

Indeed, awesome performance by Neil. Left me smiling all the way back in the car ...
Had the weird feeling that at concerts like these we are actually burying rock 'n roll or who will come after Neil, Dylan, Cave, COstello ...?
Magic in the open air !!!
I've seen Neil solo, with Booker T, with Crazy Horse and this year he's at his best.
In Werchter it was legendary!

Hey, that's cool, man, calling a concert "legendary" just 24 hours after it ended.. Seems to me, in all due humility, that reactions to Neils electric set are a bit overblown lately. Sure, he rocks like hell, which is great to see and listen to, but doesn't it all sound (a bit too) familiar?
Neil was great. We say in Dutch "verpletterend". The best show I ever saw.
Hans Dekker
Just got back from the HOP FARM concert .
As usual, Neil Young seems to "produce what's needed" everytime he appears.
I have seen him over 25 times since 1969, in the UK and the USA.
He has always been "unique" and rather talented.
I like the post from the "fan" who seems to think that the comments on Neil Young's electric solos are
"overblown".
I also had the pleasure of seeing a Mr Hendrix about 8 times.
No doubt the same person might have similar thoughts on his "electric solos".
perhaps this person might have also given Mr Sinatra a few "pointers" on how to sing.
That's right, I would. Maybe Frank could start singing with a bit more of a tremolo. Like Neil once said: "There's only me and Frank Sinatra left on Reprise anyway."
I was there! it was a spiritual experience for me. Neil Young and the band were sensational - too bad he wasn't closing the festival - becasue all that came afterwards stood at his shadow. Brilliant music! this performance was (for me) the highest form of art possible.
