The Concert Review of the Moment of Wallingford, CT Concert Reviews - 12/7/07 by shitty horse:
The great thing about Neil playing Oakdale is that it's right in my home town. I had yesterday off from work and took the time to drive in to the parking lot at around 9:00-The tour buses were there! I sat there drinking my coffee waiting hoping to catch Neil- or at least Ralph or Ben-But no such luck! So I took a picture of the sign out front
NEIL YOUNG
SOLD OUT
TONIGHT
as I pulled out. I counted down the hours to show #13 for me. I spent too much time drinking beers and smoking some rope in the car before the show that we missed Peggy's set and From Hank to Hendrix but walked in to Neil starting "Ambulance Blues" which Im so glad I didnt miss!. "No one seems to know" was just fucking awesome as well as a 'man needs a maid' I was kinda hoping for 'Campainer' or "Cowgirl" tonight but the "Old Man' and "Heart of Gold" combo was a knock-out. During Intermission I stunk the out-side up ripping a joint as I walked around. People were looking and smelling but no one knew where it was coming from. "Don't cry no Tears" was a really good surprise not quite as edgy as past times I've heard it from the Horse but still a great number. My buddy whom I was sitting with got down front and called me ten minutes later. "yo Im in the front row you have to come down here. There are no guards !" I got down to the front and it was unbelieveable to hear Cinn.Girl and Cortez up front with Neil RIGHT THERE! After the song I saw Neil gesture Peggy and the band down to take the bow -signalling the end of the show! It was a great night and I got some great footage on my phone. ROCK ON NEIL- YOU RULE YOU OLD FUCKER!

Wow, you seem so proud that you missed the beginning of the show because you were too busy getting wasted.
Great show at Wallingford.
Bought our tickets 3 minutes before show at box office. Great seats, $82.00 each.
Pegi's opening set was fantastic.
Neil was in fine shape, but theater seemed too hot for the band, even with their huge fan prop.
Check Neil's Garage site, out of service.

So Thrasher caught one before and during the show. It's not like Neil has never or still hasn't done this himself. Besides I'm sure Neil would agree that some of his greatest songs were written, and should be heard with a buzz. Anyone that has smoked one while listening to Neil on the stereo knows exactly what I'm talking about. But all this is beside the point. Thrasher saw a GREAT show.
Hey Sugar Mountain - that wasn't me at Wallingford. It was someone else who goes by the name "shitty horse" who posted on their concert activities.
Shitty Horse sounds like a wanker. Why bother going to the trouble of posting here about your smoking of a joint? You must have felt so cool walking around outside with people sniffing the air. Wake up clown. And what's with that stupid last comment on your post, in upper case to boot. Why give this kind of post prominence Thrasher?
Sorry Thrasher. Still, Shitty Horse sounds like he had a great time.
hey, dont knock it. I already planned 2 days off from work to see Neil in NY, so that I can sleep later, and have a few beers and a few joints before the show ! Best way to see Neil !
