"Hey, That's Me on Rust Never Sleeps!"

Jim on the Rust Never Sleeps album jacket
"If you look on the inside of the dust jacket of the Rust Never Sleeps album, you can see me in a white shirt, in about the twelfth row, standing, clapping my hands, just to the right of Neil Young's hand and just above the cymbal in the bottom center of the photo."
From time to time you come across some interesting stuff.
Like the time someone signed the Release "Time Fades Away" Petition saying they were looking for the guy on the cover flashing the peace sign. The guy used to be her boyfriend and she was wondering what he was up to these days.
Anyways over on X Phi Tau: My intro to the life, Jim writes about attending his first Neil Young concert at William & Mary College in Williamsburg, Virginia on October 7, 1978 (Set List). A concert that Thrasher is particularly fond of since he was there as well. Ears are still ringing.
I'm really struck by the fact that this RNS sleeve photo is from the William & Mary College tour stop. I never had any idea what venue the photo was from. And, yes, Thrasher, is just outside of the right side of the frame.
More on the Rust Never Sleeps tour and album.

No! That's ME!
Funny, I bought a nice clean Time Fades Away album from a guy on EBay (living in New Jersey), who, in an off-handed way, said "you know, I'm the guy on the cover giving the Peace Sign.. I went to the concert with my girlfriend, and while I don't like the album all that much I kept it since I was on it." Needless to say, I was a bit surprised that he would be selling something with his picture on it, but he DID sound believable.
