Time Fades Away on The Perm & The Skullet
Over on The Perm & The Skullet, the Neil Young album Time Fades Away is featured and linked to the Release Petition.
Thrasher really liked this passage:
"This album is full of so much emotion and raw power, due in part to a lot of drinking and heartbreak. When I introduce someone to 70's Neil Young (In this I mean Tonight's the Night, On the Beach, and Zuma) I always save this album for last. Once they have experienced those albums, the fall, the damnation, the resurrection, I push Time Fades Away their way and it becomes a must have."
Kinda like the roadmap to a VH-1 Behind the Music episode.
Thanks P&S!

Peter Buck of REM always said it is his favorite Neil Young record.
Make TFA part of the Archives-- a marketing ploy to boost sales...OOPS, Neil wouldn't do THAT...
I think Neil's dislike of this album is largely rooted in the way the excess got in the way of the music, especially on "Last Dance." Even most who love this album have to admit they don't like the version of that song very much. "Don't be Denied" and "The Bridge" -- if only since they form a large part of his legacy -- have to be released to a larger audience -- maybe he's saving these for the long-awaited archives?
