Lynyrd Skynyrd going into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame
Lynyrd Skynyrd has been selected to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
Now maybe we can all finally settle the feud between Lynyrd Skynyrd and Neil Young.
How about we have Neil induct Skynyrd into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame? End of story.
As if the performance of "Southern Man" at Farm Aid 2005 with the Fisk University singers was not enough.
And, since the Sex Pistols are being inducted as well, for the after the show performances, we'll have Skynyrd play "Sweet Home Alabama", followed by Neil Young's "Southern Man", then have the Sex Pistols join in for "Hey, Hey, My, My".
This is the story of Johnny Rotten, Steve Van Zant & Neil. In my dreams.

That would be a total mind blower if Neil inducted Lynyrd Skynyrd into the Hall of Fame.
A Northern Woman
Having Neil induct them would be incredible, jamming with them would be mind blowing! My pick for the setlist, medley....."That Smell/Needle and The Damage Done. Glad to see that Skynrd are getting their due....
my theory is that sweet home alabama is a response to ALABAMA, not southern man and that they didn't hear the last line of the song--"What's goin' wrong?" Rock and roll's least appreciated guitarist inducting it's most overated band-- perfect...
it would be perfect, these kinds of things is what makes Rock great...the weirder, the better. and Rock and Roll's most over rated band is the Stones, btw.
ok, the weirder the better... I'll give ya that but Skynrd is THE most overated band, the Stones are third or fourth on that list
