As we continue to recover from Farm Aid 2026, we look back and ahead as we plot our way forward into 2027 here @ TW.
Thanks again Jim for the awesome FA report and photos. (Sorry, we do realize that comments went way off the rail as we went on a mini-sabbatical.)
Again, look for a post here in coming days on the future of TW. In the meantime, let us know what you'd like to see and hear in 2027.
And anything else on your mind... as per usual around here.
I think Neil cancelled the European tour due to the danger of hostile treatment from the idiot king, as in, not being allowed back into the country.
What I would like to see in 2027 is Neil Young making Art, playing live shows. More Archives releases, more live shows from the old days (& whatever time period) released.
Live music of other folks perhaps even not directly related to Neil Young? Like Particle Kid & Lukas Nelson. These guys are worth paying attention to.
If Neil is not touring this could make sense? Not sure if any of my ideas are helpful, but I love Thrasher’s Wheat as my favorite place on the internet. I value TW & I want it to remain as the years pass.
Neil Young’s music has been worthy of our obsession / focus. His latest album shows he still has the talent & artistic power, to drop our jaws & say something titanic about our own nature.
Meanwhile, Albania erupts to kick out the Trump grift; all over the world people are repelled by our idiot kings grotesque personality. They are standing up to it.
Just as we will all stand up when he tries to steal the November election. His intention to rig the election & alter the outcome is obvious.
It you still love Trump, you are a bad person. That is the truth of it. The whole world agrees that the idiot king rapist is disgusting and a threat to democracy everywhere in the world. If you think it’s cool for ICE to gun down Americans in the street, you are a rotten apple, and should fuck off.
Trump will be roasting in hell, hopefully soon following the mid term voting. He is such a crazy fuck he might just launch a nuke in his way out the door. He does not love our country or its better values.
Dump is a piece of shit & we are going to flush him & his turdlets out.
And then we will tell the Dems to stand & fight for national health care, etc!

I dunno. Neil has so much on his plate, so many balls in the air at one time…I keep reading in the Letters/NYA when are you playing here? Why not here? Indoors? When? Jeeze, give the guy a break people.
The world is a crazy place right now, maybe more than ever?
Jetting around the planet with a tour in tow is making less sense. Economically, Environmentally, not to mention, takes a toll on a soul.
How about a 6 or 12 degrees of Neil separation? Maybe cover the many excellent tribute bands? Real Young & Lazy Horse is an excellent place to start. A Neil/Horse jam band. Or 4Way street? CSNY. Or Our house, featuring Astrid Young & David Crosby’s son (James Raymond)? There are so many excellent choices out there while we wait for the next Archives release, or the next re- mastered re-issue or the next unearthed live gem.

I am well aware this is a fan site.
But the T Rump scourge is boundless. It is creeping into and irreversibly harming every facet of Life as we humans have previously known it. So, while some of us come here to turn off the noise, the static is always out there. Everywhere.

If you are STILL siding with T Rump you are just as bad as he is. Maybe worse?
