Neil Young Cancels 2026 European Tour
Neil Young has cancelled the European LOVE EARTH 2026 tour with The Chrome Hearts.
Scheduled to start on June 17 in Manchester, England and include 14 stops across France, Ireland, Belgium, Switzerland, and Italy.
I've decided to take a break and won't be touring Europe this time. Thank you so much to everyone who bought tickets. I'm sorry to disappoint you, but now just isn't the right time. I love playing live and being with you and Chrome Hearts.

Very out of the blue (and into the black). Disappointing after last summer’s shows were so excellent. Hopefully we’ll see him again. He sure ain’t getting any younger…🙁
Another thought: Having six songs ready for recording, maybe even more, also from previous years lingering in the background, it may not be the time for touring but for creating? I confess to just speculate Sooner or later it all get's real.

"...but this is not the time." If this weren't from NYA I would not believe it, but it is and that is a curious way to cancel a tour that doesn't start until almost the summer solstice. Hope everything is OK for him and the band. Seems like every morning I wake up to another shock, deal with it and then another shock the next morning one after another.
What a bummer. Have flights, hotel and tix for Locarno with my buddies. Guess we’ll need to spend the time some other way down there as I think the hotels at least are a sunk cost.

I had tickets for Blenheim Palace concert. But Neil is 80 and who wants to travel and perform at that age? I am not sure we shall see him live again.

Was also looking forward to that Blenheim Palace show, I managed to grab front row at 2am. We were going to also do Glasgow and Cardiff. Think our hotels are refundable, not sure with our flights. Also, hope Neil is well and will be itching to catch him!
We will see Neil Young play live again. Micah told me last night they are recording an album next month. We shall see!

Gutted about this and hope it is not health related. I am convinced its due to overbooking large outdoor venues, especially in the UK and poor ticket sales. Heaton Park is 80k, which Neil is never going to sell. I've had cancellation notifications from three or the four gigs, not Chelmsford. Hope Ticketbastard aren't going to get arsey and say its a festival and not refund. I bought through NYA presale - so clearly going to see Neil Young and not the other artists. Heard on the grapevine that this festival is selling really badly so may be pulled alltogether. I just wish Neil would get over his outdoor only manta. UK shows in arenas / theatres would have sold out for sure. What a shame, really for those of you who have booked flights etc.
When my wife and I saw that Neil was playing in the UK, and at that time there were very strong "official" rumours (from Chuck Leavell no less) of the Stones playing the UK in the summer, we had to make a choice. Due to the costs to be honest, gigs are just so expensive as we all know, and by the time travel and accommodation, food and drink are taken into the equation it's nearly as dear as a summer holiday. We decided on the Stones, as whilst I love both acts dearly, my wife prefers the Stones. They then cancelled the tour before it was officially announced, due to Keith's arthritis apparently. So, no Neil, no Stones. Whatever reason Neil has for cancelling, and if I'm honest I think people who've spent a lot of money on more than tickets alone deserve to know why, I hope, as no doubt we all do, that it's not health related. They're all getting on a bit now though aren't they? And gone are days of deciding on the day to just turn up at a gig knowing that you'll either be able to buy a ticket or get one from a scalper, more's the pity.
For what it's worth, my opnion is that there will be a US and or Canadian tour. Sitting here in Canada I am in disbelief at what is going on in your country. Your rights and freedoms are disappearing at an alarming rate. Every American should be losing their fucking minds regardless of the party you support. I'm betting that Neil feels a European tour can wait when there is much more important issues to deal with at home. How can you run when you know???

What a disappointment, and what a terrible way to treat his fans yet again. Don’t forget he is sitting on a $300 million plus payout while telling his fans, who scrape together pennies to travel to his shows, to point their fingers at bad billionaires. If he is sick he should tell us. Tho my sense is his ‘now is not the time’ is more re: his deranged sense of an American emergency we will hear about in some two chord terrible political songs he will write realtime in the studio soon.
Also has he ever recorded anything good with Micah et al, is him going into the studio with them good news? Yes they have been a great live band, and fantastic at getting him to do deep cuts, but in reality the best new, and then only slightly tolerable music, he has given us in the last decade or so has been with Crazy Horse.
I think I’ll really believe all his rage when he starts actually nailing his $millions to the causes he claims to care about. It’s time to read he is giving it all to the Bridge School or anti fascism. Of course the worst possible scenario for his fans, which is not unlikely, is he cancelled the tour as it wasn't selling enough tickets to add to his massive stash yet he knows the Trump deranged American boomer market is ripe for milking instead.
