The video's soundtrack is the Greendale anthem song "Be the Rain" with images of the Trump administration, tech billionaires and "No Kings Rally".
A banner in the video carries the message: "THE 1% RUINS THE WORLD".
Recall that just last month, Neil Young announced plans to withdraw his music from Amazon.com. The reaction here was quite prolific against the backdrop of October's "No Kings Rally".
Also, recall that Neil Young said at the 2025 Farm Aid Press Conference that "We need a 'Conscience Tax' on billionaires".

Darn, you beat me to the first comment. Since the 140 comment thread, I have read at least five economic analyses and talked to an economist friend at University of Chicago. The United States economy is in deep trouble. I love this new instrumental and am thinking of Link Wray.

Just popping by… I’ll note that As Time Explodes 2.0 just came up on NYA. After all these years, one thing Neil hasn’t done is a fully instrumental album. Definitely sounds like Chrome Hearts have it in them!
At this point, it could be a comment on the fear of using your words, of speaking out.
Or maybe just a consolation prize for those who’ve found the political lyrics clunky and heavy-handed all along?
