The Beach Boys Brian Wilson (1942 - 2025) has passed away at age 82.
Brian Wilson and Neil Young performed "Surfin’ USA" together at the 28th Annual Bridge School Benefit Concerts in 2014.

RIP Brian, and thank you for everything you did to make people happy.
RIP Sly Stone as well. The legends are starting to leave us, the next few years might be very tough in that regard.
Thanks to the Bridge School Benefit concerts, we had the fortune to see Brian twice - in 1999 and gain in 2014.
The highlight being in '14 with Neil joining Brian on Surfin' USA. quite cool
When Brian was in the house, folks knew Legend was present.

In case any of you are interested in Brian's solo stuff and you haven't heard it yet, I HIGHLY recommend his Lucky Old Sun album from 2008. A fantastic piece of work, in which he has a couple of songs dealing with his personal problems from the 70's. Great record.

The Beach Boys were my first favorite band when I was 10 years old. Joe Walsh’s “Life’s Been Good” put me in the next chapter. RIP Brian Wilson. He was a musical genius, it is said. I read a funny story about him writing a song at a friend’s house on their piano. I am going to seek a link to it.
Get out and protest Saturday 6/14 #NoKings Free Speech if we can keep it. Peaceful, non- violent protest is what we want. Sit down! They can’t say you were threatening them if you are sitting down. Stand up now if you ever would. This is it. Get out and find local protests in US. They are everywhere. If not, make a sign and go for a walk in town. Tesla showrooms are fair game too of course. State capitols.
Thank you to all who will be participating. It feels quite good to realize the community in the protest movement. It is quite therapeutic, for this of us with our eyes open as Trump attempts a fascist takeover as he needlessly deploys the Marines to LA. Morale is said to be quite low among the troops, so say their family support in military advocates.
Meanwhile in DC Napoleon Bona-spurs awaits rainfall, some are praying. Rust never sleeps!
But in the real world US there is going to be massive turnout for the #NoKings protest gatherings near and far. State capitols, your home town or nearby locale.
May Real Freedom prevail over censorship & fascist deportations & senselessly harming immigrant families, tearing apart children from their parents, flying these folks with no due process to foreign lands in prisons that are known to be horrific & abusive.
Trump may have finally gotten the word that the hard working immigrants are the ones who bring in the crops! Who the hell is going to bring in the harvest, King Dumbass!
They do work most of the locals don’t choose to do. They work the orchards, the fields, & canneries. They work in food & factory jobs which the locals don’t often take. They are house cleaners, taking jobs from nobody but adding to the economy.
Immigrants are Paying taxes, a lot of sales tax, because they spend most of what they earn due to cost of living, etc, that & sending money to loved ones back home.
Plus, we need workers in our economy to pay into the social security system so we can all maybe get a small check one day! The Republicans can’t wait to rip off Social Security again.
Arent’t these clowns supposed to be “Pro Business?” Why is Trump taking a wrecking ball to our society. He is the most destructive political figure since the founding of our nation.
And oh what an absolute asshole simpleton he truly is. He doesn’t give a shit about the American people, especially in blue states.
He is a sociopath and an instead. If he is not a Russian Agent, he sure is carrying out exactly what Vladimir would have him do, which is, basically, destroy the USA and steal its crown as the defector currency. And the value of the dollar is dropping like a rock as this moron’s tariffs.
Lots of folks are gonna be living outdoors, which is of course, not allowed. If this really was a Christian president , he would be feeding and sheltering the immigrants and the homeless. Clothing, helping, protecting. And US citizens should have that same kind of help.
I hope it rains out his stupid parade. Lightning would be cool. Draft dodger Narcissist presides over his own Birthday Military Parade. He is a coward, which is partly why he emulates Dictators & poses as a tough guy. Hunting hands have never known a day’s work.
