Neil Young will appear on the "Fighting Oligarchy" protest tour in Los Angeles on April 12.
Neil Young is a "special musical guest" with Joan Baez, Maggie Rogers, and others for the rally in Gloria Molina Grand Park. The "Fighting Oligarchy Tour" is organized by U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders as a protest against the Trump administration
Neil Young previously supported Sanders in his independent presidential campaign in 2020,

4/5 National Protest was gigantic, enormous. We will sweep out Trump and his Oligarchy team. Thank you Neil Young for supporting free speech and your a anti-Oligarchy stance! Good will defeat Evil! We must stand together to force Democracy on the Prez!

I went to a local political "forum" yesterday instead of the big protest in Des Moines. The forum was a disgusting display of fascism and idiocy combined. Really disgusting.
I'm glad Neil is a part of this and selfishly bummed it's a weekend I'll a tally be out of town. Though I'll be in Austin to see a reunited Gourds show, so really can't complain

What I was a part of was invigorating. Pick a cause.

I saw vets, students, teachers, migrants, retirees, young people, LGBTQ+, Canadian, Ukrainian, Mexican flags, BLM, etc…
But mostly what I saw was AVERAGE, EVERYDAY, REGULAR, HARD WORKING AMERICANS THAT WILL NOT LET THIS STAND!
We the people means ALL the people!

Even worse than the T Rump nation alienation via bullying and tariffing the world, The almost certain looming World Wide TRUMP MADE Recession. Even worse than the incompetence he has surrounded himself with, the un elected billionaire dismantling the government. Is THIS:
Trump refused to meet the military transport plane carrying the remains of the four soldiers from Poland at Dover. An American President chooses dinner & a golf outing over attending this dignified transfer. “Commander in Chief” has called members of the military “Suckers and losers”. He once mocked Sen John McCain saying he prefers war heroes that weren’t taken prisoner.
This man has no morales. No sense of decency. No sense of honor. And he is the US president.

Well, all plutocracies are oligarchies, but not all oligarchies are plutocracies. So, if it is a plutocracy, as you suggest (and I would generally agree with), it is also an oligarchy. So, plutocracy is arguably a more precise label, but oligarchy is not incorrect. What is perhaps equally alarming in this case is that it is also very clearly a kakistocracy.
The current US "government" also has traits of of Ochlocracy. The concepts of the current POTUS very much appear to be serving the agenda of MAGA supporters and their very limited understanding of economic reality.

while somewhat despairing over some of the recent twists and turns on the crooked road, we received this from John:

That said, we do appreciate an engaged audience and folks exercising their rights to free speech here on TW ... one of the few remaining refuges for free speech remaining on the internet.

On April 19th we need crowds to explode across our country. The statistics from the 5th were that 1.1 percent of our population were involved in the protest that day. Scholars say that a 3.5 percent turnout is the breaking point for the downfall of Dictators. So why wait for the next protests, when we can hit that number on April 19th? The sooner we get rid of this regime the better.

To add to the unbelievable list given by @ Herbsworld……sending over 200 immigrants to a violent prison in another country without due process, is an undeniable act of a crime against humanity. This regime must not go unpunished for this egregious act. The whole world is watching!!!!

That, to me, is SAD.
