To be clear here, this is NOT an announcement that Neil Young will perform those dates. The concert (s) are being considered to be voted on by the city council.
Neil Young last performed in Telluride Town Park in 2016.

What about the "Maybe July"????
In other news: Neil Young and his archives team sent out an e-mail letter about this year's (?) release of the Archives box Vol. III cautioning all NYA subscribers about the price of this boxset and also announcing an increase in membership fees.
My main concern with all this is the fact that the large version of the Vol. III box will be a blueray version only. Over here in Europe a lot less people subscribed to the blueray technology beyond their movie set ups. While my stereo equipment is fairly decent, it does not play blueray audio. So I am buying a huge box at considerable cost which forces me to buy additional sound equipment? A mixed solution would have been better. The audio data on regular CDs or DVD audio, the movies on seperate bluerays, that's what I would have preferred. But maybe that would have been too complicated and even more costly on the production end.
Dionys, everything costs too much right now and the economy in the US is about to tank.
Dionys / Abner, it's the same all over I think. I'm in my 50's and theoretically life should be starting to get a bit easier, but I've never known the cost of living here in the UK to be so crippling. I do reasonably well compared to some, but only by working a lot of overtime. I have less disposable income now than at any other point in my life, but at least I have some, there are plenty of people who can't make ends meet. The increase in membership I could cope with, but the box? At the moment it's looking like this will be the first Neil release in over 30 years that I decline on getting. I don't expect Neil to fully appreciate the realities of the cost of living crisis, but I would expect people at his record company to surely see that now is not the time for this to be released in this format. Maybe though they remember the idiotic ebay auction prices that volume 2 achieved when people thought it was a limited edition and think that we've all got bottomless pockets. Best wishes to all from the UK.

I’m hoping Neil does a cheaper CD version of vol3 - I just can’t justify the huge cost that the bluray set will go for - actually I just flatout don’t have the cash - and there’s the option of just listening on the NYA site
Ps I’d love to see the announcement of some shows again- hopefully NYA does some livestreams
PPS -for those cashed up wanting to fill some holes in their collection: there’s been some online shops advertising a June release date for the freedom/ragged glory extended/weld/arc box - 9LPs!!
From Paul S.:
- Neil called them on 5/11 about "Neil really wants to play Telluride again"!
- Max 9K people for 1 or 2 nights between 8/14 and 8/20, ending by 10pm
- Gave them a packet of info including comparison to 2016 and info on all aspects of the event
- They propose use of the campground as well
- June 7 is case board meeting to establish actual date
- June 13 town council approval as final step
- "Neil Young's not calling Aspen, nor Vail"...(ha, ha)
- "Doesn't give us a lot of time to sell tickets"...(ha, ha)
- Mushroom Festival is the same time frame 8/16-21, they are not happy. Would have to coexist and manage camping for them.
