"Conan O’Brien Talks About Neil Young Agreeing to Be His Last 'Tonight Show' Musical Performance"-> The last show was on January 22, 2010. Neil was singing "Long May You Run" solo. You are referencing to Nov. 2005 shows, but do not mention the last show on Jan. 2010. The whole show can be downloaded from https://archive.org/details/conantonight

Thanks Gordon. Missed the 2010 posting. Just added update to post above.
L.A. had just died and neil paid a sweet tribute to L.A.
The song title says it all.
Incidentally, from what we can recall, it was a HUGE motional day for Neil ...
1st - L.A. Johnson died
2nd - he played w/ Dave Matthews on Hope For Haiti Telethon & covered Hank Williams’ “Alone and Forsaken”
3rd - Conan's final show
regarding the Hawaiian shirt, we believe that was a tribute to L.A. as well who liked to wear that style of casual shirt.
