The Legendary Neil Young gave a gorgeous performance Tuesday night at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre. He played his first Vancouver solo show at the venue in 1971. @Neilyoung @MeLaura #VancouverWeekly #NeilYoungSoloTour #NeilYoung #Vancouver #livemusichttps://t.co/GwCvqpRkOa pic.twitter.com/sXlFlyTYyo

Maybe we'll hear a few of the new Crazy Horse songs in an acoustic format. First solo album in '69; Live Rust in '79; Freedom in '89; CSNY reunion in '99; Box set in '09....I think good things are in store for '19...
Any word on a Live stream? No mention on the NYA site.....
its 8:06am here in the west. Early. If you check back here and NYA 3 hours before showtime youll know if theres a webcast. Check everyday theres a show
I'm almost going to cancel my NYA because I've not once been able to see a show. Being in Australia the times are never convenient for work. Surely there must be away of a reply play when is appropriate say just the one shot deal. And no Android app its seem like a waste. Luv to do a Saturday night view with mates and beers...Was just on flight how good it would be able reply a show while sit looking at the seat on front!
@ Steve Downunder - don't despair. NYA is tweaking approach daily based on feedback.
As you can see, they definitely read and respond to letters. don't be denied!

Watched it via insta livestream... kinda frustrating with the comments blocking the screen, and they kept turning it off between songs.. still grateful to see it. Tons of new songs.
On Neils post about Everybody Knows he revealed the new NYCH record is called 'Pink Moon'
I have a ticket for the Neil show in Portland that I purchased on his website. I know that on the day of the show I am supposed to get an email with a digital ticket. I am a little concerned that I may not get the ticket. I can't find an email with my purchase receipt. Would anyone that has bought tickets from his website be able to help explain the process better and remind me what company sold me the ticket?
The NYA site is really good about answering questions. Go to the Contact Us utility.
@ the rider
I'm going to the Portland show. This was in my confirmation email from customercare @ ticketswest
"Dear Patron - Thank you for purchasing tickets to NEIL YOUNG SOLO.
You will receive your tickets digitally day of show (May 17 2019)
approximately 12 hours before concert time. You must bring your
mobile phone with you to the concert as mobile tickets are unable to
be scanned if printed. All tickets are non-refundable,
non-exchangeable and non-transferrable."
i'd call tickets west if I were in your shoes ... when you buy tickets off his website its usually pushing you to the promotors site, often thats ticketbastard but not always, like in this case ... NYA will tell you they don't handle tickets, best thing to do it contact the promotor site customer service. If you bought the ticket and you remember the email you gave them you should be fine.
Flying on the Ground is Wrong. A favorite of mine
Any thoughts on the new stuff?
No thoughts on new stuff b/c as a NYA subscriber. I haven’t seen nor heard any of it. What I have seen however, Is the current showing of “On The Street”. Not as a NYA member tho. As a longtime long fan who has made many purchases over the years, including the NYA VOL 1 Blu Ray (which is where this clip can be found).
The setlist are crazy good. Neil as a solo artist has varied the setlists from show to show significantly more of late than anytime in the past decade if not longer ... not to mention he's playing incredible variety w/ POTR and Crazy Horse ... Neil is a total force of nature ...
@herbsworld: "On the Street" is the name NYA is using for the Glasgow busking footage from 1976, currently showing in the Hearse Theater in an alternate, extended version from the outtake that previously circulated (with Sugar Mountain following Old Laughing Lady). It was not in the Vol. 1 box, which only went through 1972.
Awesome video. Sounds like he goes into Captain Kennedy? and Ambulance Blues for a bit in between those two songs. Can't tell if it's Captain Kennedy or something else? Anyone any ideas, Babbo B?
@ Babbo B: My bad, Mea Culpa. Of course you are correct. Not on the Blu Ray Archives Vol 1 which do only go to 1972.
Seen this footage (sans the blank bits, hence "extended"?) a Bizillion times on the Utube.
Sorry you missed my point....
Signed on to NYA to see streams, performances of new songs, archival concert performances, etc. NOT stuff I've seen elsewhere or is readily view able elsewhere, which is what passes fer a "rare performance" these days it seems....
Not complaining (still the best $20 you can spend on any artist site). Just a lil' disappointed is all.
TIcketing issues in Portland....fyi.
No one has gotten their tix yet
I am trying to figure out if there is a number where I can teach the ticket provider.
@herbsworld: Don't disagree that it would be nice to get more new/unreleased material in NYA, but in all fairness "On the Street" is something we haven't seen before - twice as long as the previous version (at 12 minutes) with lots of different footage/editing. (There's no more Neil asking directions to the Bank of Scotland at the beginning, David Briggs now pops up at 4:45 and the actual "old laughing lady" gets her own extended section after Sugar Mountain at the end with full audio, instead of the silent snippets of her woven in during OLL from 4-4:30 in the original.) It's pretty cool and hopefully a sign of things to come.
@Syscrusher: Not sure if that's actually Captain Kennedy or just some noodling that sounds like it, but he's definitely doing the riff from the end of Ambulance Blues at 7:15.
Portland folk: From Facebook reports it sounds like the tickets are trickling out, some people have received them and others haven't. If you haven't try calling 800-273-1530.
@ Babbo B - thanks for all the busking video details! Also, thanks for ticket customer service! :)
@Babbo B. - yes it does kinda sound like it's just an outro to OLL.
(I'd love to hear more stuff like this from the NYA, just him messing around on the banjo playing songs and riffs.)
The first half-hour or so of the Swing In documentary is full of that kind of stuff: https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5tthh3
