Michael Baum, Daryl Hannah, Neil Young & Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.
California Superior Court - May 1, 2019
In a demonstration of solidarity, Daryl Hannah and Neil Young today attended California Superior Court for the Monsanto trial.
Well that was a trip! - of course I know these skeevy corporate cronies manipulate & lie - but to see it right in front of your eyes is soooo depressing & creepy #Bayer #MonsantoTrial #Roundup #toxic #Glyphosate sucks‼️

After years of litigation against the notorious corporation, it looks like "The Monsanto Years" are finally coming to an end as the new parent company Bayer will most likely go bankrupt over the acquisition.
"Today's decision by Administrator Wheeler completely ignores science in favor of polluters like #Bayer... the @EPA is virtually incapable of taking steps to protect people from dangerous chemicals like #glyphosate" https://t.co/DIFFhSSyZS pic.twitter.com/VQG1pH0URm

Greed, ego and power have been at work all of human history, and I don’t see it fading away anytime soon. The human race has been at battle with good and evil since time began. I wish there was a a clear solution but for now we haven’t been willing to cooperate with each other. Everyone has an agenda. We have been systematically separated by corruption and misinformation for so long, most people have become desensitized by all the arguments for change. Apathy has become our biggest enemy and if we can’t come together soon, at least consider the consequences of our actions here on planet earth, then we will not survive.
This is not a political problem. This is a global problem. Politicians are only capable of getting in the way of making decisions. History has shown us that. Every election for the past 80 years has been based on fixing health care, education, social security, homelessness, poverty and helping families. Why are we still talking about the same things every single election? Because the government isn’t solving them, otherwise we would have new decisions to consider.
We are at a crossroad with survival here and we have to take the reigns while there is still time. Unfortunately there are just too many people in denial for us to succeed right now, and government hearings are just waisted time spent discussing instead of taking action. As for me, I’m doing everything in my power to be part of the solution by recycling everything, driving a hybrid car, being careful with my water and electric usage and active in educating people about the precious resources we can protect while still living with earth as a partner. The technology exists for us to be in partnership with our planet, but greed, power and ego continues to be our biggest enemy.
We, (the global we) need to wake up and work as one. It’s possible if we are willing to put aside our cultural differences and come together for a common goal of survival. Survival for our children and their children to make it work. It’s still possible, I have faith we are better together than separate, and that is what our governments have been so successful doing. Keeping us separate. It can happen if we want it.
Peace
we hear you & understand where you're coming from here Dan.
thanks for thoughts. agree with you about the failure of institutional systems and the need for self reliance. many more are starting to get that putting a lot of time & energy into institutional reforms like gov't, courts, etc is ineffective at best and counter productive at worst.
that the best use of our precious time & energy is self improvement and getting our own actions right. once that's ever accomplished (which is never) then onto trying to coach family & friends.
we're encouraged by small things these days and haven't given up hope. as silly as this might seem, the title of Lukas Nelson and Promise of the Real newest album "Turn Off the News (Build a Garden)" does indeed show real promise. Real promise in that a new generation totally gets.
Again, was Woodstock just a hippie dream? Or do we really need to get back to the garden?
peace
Thank you Thrasher. Yes we are the ones we’ve been waiting for.... and, yes.....Turn off the news (build a garden) indeed. As long as there is hope we can still make the earth our home again, and live in balance.
Look after EARTH and we all win
Thanks being here Dan and keeping it REAL.
@ Steve Rust Downunder - well said. exactly.
