Human-Highway.org Back Online! Rainer Lives!
After a 7-month hiatus, Human-Highway.org and Bad-News-Beat.org are back in business, thanks to a team dedicated to keeping the work of Baron Rouge (Rainer) and those who came before him - alive.
Human Highway is a community created to talk about all things Neil-related, and the many eclectic tangents that ensue. Bad News Beat is more newsy - but both are user friendly and interactive. This year BNB surpassed 1 million guest views.
Updating both sites and fine-tuning all of the capabilities and offerings will take a little bit of time. The fuzzy lyrics search engine on HH is up and running. As always, both sites welcome comments, opinions, reviews from roving reporters, etc.
A message from the Albert, the "Lighthouse," the new owner of HH & BNB:
"Thrasher, maybe you remember this time in Berlin (June 2013) with Baron Rouge and me. We exchanged T-shirts in a club just before the Neil Young & Crazy Horse concert. Thanks, Sharon & Albert for the great news! Human Highway, BNB & Rainer Live On!
After almost 20 years of knowing each other on the Internet, always on the Human Highway with all this Neil stuff, you and Baron Rouge met for the first time, personally. You were standing facing each other, looking at each other and shaking hands.
Some time later, suddenly and unexpectedly our Baron, died. We, the Neil Young community of Germany and the U.S. were very distressed and sad. It was our Baron Rouge, who especially brought so much energy and spirit in this NY stuff. His websites and mailing lists "Human-Highway" and" Bad-News-Beat " were our sources of information - our platforms for the joy and pleasure in everything Neil and what we made of it.
The Baron was working constantly, with tremendous energy to on these, his babies.
When he passed away, we felt this great loss of energy and love. A vacuum opened, which was obviously not to close. The websites were frozen and "Cortez" shut down, his beloved server.
Who`s gonna stand up? Yes, here we did! The whole 20-year-old work of the Baron's for the Human Highway should not be in vain.
I am very, very proud to have these friends, who helped here in Germany and in the U.S. to revive these beloved and historical projects.
So here was are again on the Human Highway and BNB. Cortez is on. He will continue, otherwise determined, because the shoes of our beloved Baron Rouge were very large.
We do our best to Neil and the people on the Human Highway.
Thrasher, for you many, many good wishes! I hope you gallop for a long time on your Highway!
Thanks,
Albert "Opa" Lighthouse
