A Son's Gift to His Dad: ▶ Neil Young LIVE @ Ziggo Dome, Amsterdam 2013 - Love and Only Love - YouTube
A nice happy birthday to a lucky Dad out there in Amsterdam.
We just got a note from Adam who shared the following with us regarding this video of "Love and Only Love" by Neil Young & Crazy Horse at Ziggo Dome, Amsterdam 2013:
Dear Wheat-lords,Adam, this is truly wonderful and thank you for sharing. You're a very wonderful son with a very wonderful father.
On June 6th, my father and I saw Neil Young live (together for the 2nd time) in Amsterdam. Tomorrow he turns 49.
Neil Young's music has profoundly impacted my relationship with my father. Through Neil's music we have been able to work through many difficult periods in our lives together.
When Neil played in Amsterdam, I was lucky enough to be able to take my father to the show. I'm 26 and he is nearly 50. We loved every moment of it and cannot stop talking about it since (despite living in different countries).
His birthday is coming up soon and I wanted to do something meaningful for him.
Neil has been an integral part of our relationship and so, for his birthday, I assembled videos to make a DVD-like gift that would immortalize that evening to us, beyond the state of immortality it had already possessed.
Don’t spoil the surprise, there’s still one day to go before I show it to him -- Happy birthday to the most wonderful man anyone could ask for as a dad.
Humbly yours,
Adam
Love and Only Love, indeed.

Excellent mix on this one, and there are several more on his youtube station. WOW!!!!! Is it live or Memorex? This collection is archival in presentation. THANKS Adam, Happy birthday pop! Brings me right back to Cleveland last October with a better seat!
Adam,I am sure your father will be happy with this gift! However, you were either in Amsterdam on June 5 or in Paris on June 6 ;-)
It's the whole show, not just LAOL. (And way to not spoil the surprise, if you "just" received the note.)
As a dad of age 60, who saw Neil & Crazy Horse with all 4 of my sons in Tulsa Oct. 2012 I thank you!
It certainly made my day when I found these on YT yesterday, comment left on Adam's Fuckin' Up video thanking him for sharing the videos and memories of that wonderful night! Keep on rockin' Adam! Your dad is a lucky guy too.
Peace and love,
Ron
Love And Only Love
Thanks, SONY - glad you're feelin it!
Cheers for the correction, it was surely Amsterdam on the 5th!
You're welcome! Hopefully that wasn't Neil's "Last Trip" your way ;-)
PEACE AND LOVE! Thank you.

Took both of my kids (son & daughter) to see NY at Massey Hall in Toronto in 2008. They both cried when he played from Hank to Hendrix. I didn't realize the effect his music had on them growing up but it apparently brought back good memories thru that song.
My son and I talked to Larry Cragg during the intermission. He gave us a guitar pick from Neil's collection which is now framed in photo from the show.
Great times. Great music. O
Adam, got thru the whole show tonight. That production rivals any I've seen of Neil. THANK YOU so much! I hope it's lifting you like it's lifting me. Can I say WOW again? ok - WOW!!. Captured the whole ragged glory there. Somehow I feel somewhere safer where the feelings stays after that. MMMmmmm, that's is sweet. I shall visit this some more.
It should also be mentioned that, after seeing this collection, there is no way ANYONE could stand in for Poncho on this tour. The whistling on WLAG is enough to convince most of that. I am enjoying the heck out of this.
Hey SONY,
Thanks for sharing all that positivity. My dad and I watched the whole thing on Friday night. What a joy it was. So glad you are enjoying this! This was my 1st time trying something like this, and the scale was pretty big (as you see). Maybe next year I'll have a similar project to mount for my dad...
Peace and Love,
Adam
