I've been waiting to see Neil Young for 30 years and the wait for last night's gig has had me like a five year old waiting for xmas.
I was not disappointed. Without a doubt the best gig I have EVER attended.
The band really connected with the audience and vice-verse.
Highlight for me was the 10 minutes of feedback creating a storm-like noise when the rain started to fall on the audience..then through the speakers came the Woodstock "Move away from the towers/No Rain" thing - - magical!
Neil also did a version of Dylan's "Blowin in the Wind" - this was great as Dylan played the festival a few years earlier and was shambolic!!
The festival organisers are very keen to have bands finish EXACTLY on time which was a shame...until Neil came on the stage, apologised to the crowd with a "we been told we don't have time to play any more songs, so we're going to play some anyway!"
The band were great! Frank Sampedro seemed to think indicate that he thought that "We paid for that (pointing to Neil) but they give you this(pointing to himself)" - nah, as a band the experience was fantastic!!!
I could bang on for days as I'm still buzzing from the gig but won't!
Thanks,
Stu

I first turned on to Neil Young with Cinnamon Girl in 1969. Last night I saw the man with Crazy Horse perform live for the first time. He played Cinnamon Girl so what more can I say. Shame the sound balance was not good but what an overall performance. Great only just touches it. David

Hey Hey My My
I managed to drag my 15 year old son "much against his will" to see Niel Young and Crazy Horse. After a few minutes he understood why I have always wanted to see this great man play live. He gave everything for more than 2 hours. Whatever he does in life,
my son can always say " I was there and I saw the man play'
Thank you Thank you Thank you for an unforgettable evening.

It was a great show besides of technical sound troubles and I think Neil wasn't very happy with that ! they really got better right after the acoustic show ! means The Giant wasn't as big as I heard it before ( Paris )
It is still one of my best feeling to get into his sound anyway .....with the Horse it's always more powerful !
