Jackson Browne and Neil Young

1978 Rust Never Sleeps Tour
Not too long ago, there was some discussion about Jackson Browne we came across.
And that got us to thinking about how Jackson Browne and Neil Young are connected. As best we can tell, there's very little of a connection between the two singer-songwriters. But then we recalled Neil wearing a Jackson Browne t-shirt on the Rust Never Sleeps tour in 1978.

Jackson Browne - Saturate Before Using
We had forgotten about Young wearing a Jackson Browne t-shirt that appears to be from the cover of Jackson Browne's landmark 1972 Saturate Before Using.
So aside from Neil wearing Jackson's album t-shirt on the seminal RNS tour, we can't really discern any other connection between the two.
Jackson Browne paid tribute to Neil Young when he was Honored As MusiCares Person Of The Year. Browne performed "Don't Let It Bring You Down".
Jackson Browne:
“I’ll be singing ‘Don’t let it bring you down’ which is a powerful song,” said Browne before attending the gala dinner. “Neil Young’s singular use of language is what amazes me,” he said.
“It really raises the bar. Nobody but Neil would say, 'When you dance, I can really love.' He's got this powerful way of carving language in very simple blocks of meaning that go right to the core of you."
Unlike some other artists that Neil has intersected with over the years.
