It's Tuesday ... today's the big day!
Is it a joke he's delivering a sustainable dog house to the White House, too?
They took LV out for a test late Tuesday afternoon after the faulty Ujoint was repaired and muffler was installed.
A viewing of the tune up was promised for Lincvolt's well wishers but it was cancelled at 8 p.m.
It looked and sounded just beautiful leaving the garage for the test drive though.
Hi Lincvolt Fans-
Shakey Pictures will continue with their live webcasts tomorrow and on Friday as Neil takes the wheel and goes out on some shakedown cruises in Lincvolt.
Many of the issues with the car from earlier this week have been solved and there are some long range drives planned before the crew departs on their historic trip.
Join the webcast and participate in the real time chat room while the show is live.

Hey Archives Guy do you happen to know if these rumors that Neil is the Friday headliner at Bonnaroo is true?
Baconus
I was on board for last Sundays' broadcast and it was a hoot! Gotta work during the week though and can't see the weekly stuff, so I'm giving you my thoughts in poetry, because LincVolt is a poetic endeavor.
Oh to live on LincVolt dot com
With the techies and
The bosses phone calls
You can't get twenty
Miles per gallon
Though your thinkin'
That your SUV was cool
Your SUV was cool
It's so noisy at the garage
But all your friends are Blogs
You can see the wires fry
As you look into their eyes
Oh to live on LincVolt dot com
With the techies and
The bosses phone calls
You can't get twenty
Miles per gallon
Though your thinkin' that
Your SUV was cool
Your SUV was cool
How about a little Shakespeare too:
"But soft, what light through yonder window breaks?
It is the east (DC) and LincVolt
Is the sun!
Oh, arise fair sun and kill
The envious BIG 3
Which are already sick and pale
With bailouts"
LincVolt needed a dog, but a "Green
Doghouse" is really taking it to the Nth degree!...arise fair sun!
Beautiful!....But give yourself a name...Like....'Shakespeare'..or somethin'
Ever since my Australian interview with Neil, where I asked him about Linc-Volt and the use of 'alternative' fuels, it got me wonderin' about my old Vee Dub.
I'm thinkin' if Neil can do it with the old Lincoln why can't I do a bit of tinkerin with the beetle?...yep and thats what I did.
When I couldn't get on Thrasher's Wheat for a coupla days due to Thrashers new Security, authenticity anti- troll devices, I decided, in my boredom, to go out to the shed and overhaul 'The Beast'.Using Neil's secret formula of Pigshit methane gas,I combined this with some dynamic lifter (basically chook poo) and managed
to concoct a fuel, which, when injected directly into my adjusted carby allowed me to attain an octane sufficient enough to power the bug...I'm callin my little project...'Stink-bug' 'cause while it seems successful its a bit high on the nose!
I've decided to parallel Neil's trip to Washington and drive the 'bug'from Sydney to Canberra our national capitol. Here, I'm hopin' to meet Kevin Rudd our most recently adorned prime minister and present him with a Possum box..as I don't own a dog kennel.
I'll keep you updated on how the trip's going live on blue ray and U tube if Warner's allows me to!!
Happy harvesting!!
As we are looking forward to the trip to DC, I was wondering about the filming of the trip and how it will all play out. We know Neil, and maybe Mazzeo even, along with the crew (and the doghouse), will be on the journey. And what a poetic journey it will be!
So, if Neils' going too on this seminal, somewhat "Trans-Continental" road trip, I think he could use an interesting entrance in the film that would be true to Shakey Film noir.
What if Neil was down the road a few miles from the start of the trip on the side of the road with his thumb out and a set of bongos at his feet? The crew could say,"Wish the boss was here too." Then say, "Hey, who's that up ahead?" Hey, it's the boss!" "Better stop and pick him up then!" Or something like that.
This is just a vision I had while staring at my vinyl copy of "Trans" that was left out in front of a stack of vinyl I still have and love.
I don't think it's a bad idea to pass on to the film crew though. After all, we're all in on this in the long run. Or is it all just another audacious thought of hope?
I could see a montage in shakey super-8 with Neil as hitch-hiker, thumb extended, (could we super-impose those On the Beach photos somehow?) with "Interstate" as the sound track, until he gets picked up by LV, Neil slides into his seat, to look back to see Sun Green and Bill Murray in the back seat, and the music slides into the Sultan, with Grandpa at the wheel, then as they start to cruise along, there's a flash back to old Mort, and we see Stephen Stills on an LA boulevard, with a guitar slung on his back, and then there's a flash of light, and the Archives appears, and everyone gets out of the car, Neil opens the trunk to pull out Old Black, with the Woodstock strap.. Pegi pulls up on a beautiful Harley, Neil hops on board, and as they pull away, Bill Murray and Sun Green are waving, Linc-Volt growing smaller into the distance -music slides into Fork in The Road... The message is that, yes, there's a Fork in the Road, and Neil has decided to get back to issuing the Archives and playing music and that he'll leave it to Sun Green to carry on with the Linc-Volt... It would be brilliant !! They'd be loving the Bill Murray touch in Cannes.
