Neil Young Archives Update from Archives Guy

So what could possibly happen next on our quixotic quest for the elusive quarry that we call the Neil Young Archives?

When we last checked our exclusive Shakey Interactive Polling System (SIPS), loyal TW readers overwhelming voted that -- hold your breath -- the Archives would not be released on the scheduled Feb 24, 2009 release date.

So here's the latest from our trusty source Archives Guy commenting on the new Neil Young Archives website:

We have been reading a media report elsewhere on the Web that makes claims to the effect that release of the Archives is "Delayed Again". This article also takes speculation and turns it into fact for the media and fan base.

You can read the article here. I'm sure that an intelligent reader will see what we are talking about.

In the meantime, you can sleep at night knowing that NYA Vol 1 has been completed in BD, DVD, CD and Digital Download editions. The only thing remaining is announcement of a street date.

The launching of our new Archives website has been delayed briefly as our team is busy with a short tour, production of new music videos for the Web and finishing touching on a new album.

Please don't believe these random news stories that you see on the Web. Their story lines are most often based on assumptions, small talk and searching for an angle that will draw readers.

In the meantime, there are new songs to listen to as well as new music videos, Lincvolt Updates and live concerts. That is a lot of positives to focus on.

Sorry, but I am kind of tired today and don't get the story? There's is no delay for the Archives, only a minor delay for the Archives website.

There cannot be a delay for the Archives because there has not been any announcement of a street date?

And the launching of the new Archives website has been delayed because you are busy in Australia and finishing a new album at the same time. So, the Archives are finished? It's only the website and the release date that aren't fixed. But there's no delay from the February 24 date?

I have stayed away from commenting on the Archives release because I expect it to be delayed until Neil is bored enough to release it.

I have doubt that it is complete in all formats but that has nothing to do on when it will be released. Even the Archives Guy latest post hints that it will be delayed while trying to assure us not to believe the media reports. Who knows what the truth is anymore.

If it will be delayed then just tell us AG.

I have a question. Will we be charged immediately unpo ordering or charged when shipped. Since we don't know the release date for the Archives it would be foolish to order and be charge immediately and then wait six months for the release.

Really tempted by that bonus 45, and think I'll definately be going for the BluRay option. Who knows, I may go for the CD option further on up the road.

I was just wondering, will there be an international pre-order (Europe/UK in my case)? I really want to pre-order now, especially due to that bonus 45 but I also want to hold on in case there's a preorder for other countries.

Postage from the US costs a fair amount and I'm not sure I want to trust something that expensive making such a long journey and being unharmed on the way...

Amazon can't get it here on the release date. And HMV very often does

Seeing how there are so many hardcore Neil fans in Canada, is there

there again and find they don't have the item again.(I really don't
want to give them that much money)
