What's So Funny About Peace, Love and Dope?
Here's an interesting -- yet sad -- take on Neil Young's song "Old Man". From Baytown Bert's Blog:
"I was about 18, stationed in Great Falls, Montana, far from home and I remember Neil Young launched an album called 'Heart of Gold' and I would sit in my barracks room and listen to Ol' Neil wail out those lonely lyrics and feel his words tear through me like a dry wind out of the desert. One song in particular hit me hard. It was 'Old Man', a song about something I didn't really understand. I do now, for I am rapidly realizing my own mortality."
A few errors like the one above on the album name of Harvest, but Baytown Bert goes on to deconstruct "Old Man" and what it means to him. And ends with your life lesson of the day.

I don't care who you are....really...pot...or any drug for that matter, certainly tends to fog the mind and without a doubt, definately gets in the way of your ultimate dreams/goals. While it may open your mind enough recognize the potentials of what can be experienced through the thought process, as simple as it may be, marijuana...and i don't care who you are...most definately, uncertaintly gets in the way of our true thought potential. Maybe Neil was smokin' some special dope or something, but all the crap I've smoked really gets in the way of my natural thought processes. If you've made it this far, thanks for reading. Have a great day. :)
