Jerry Lee Lewis & Neil Young on David Letterman

Jerry Lee Lewis and Neil Young performed together on the David Letterman Show on October 4.

They perfomed the song "You Don't Have To Go" from the new Jerry Lee Lewis album Last Man Standing .

But not all were impressed by Jerry lee and Neil rockin' out. Over on The Phantom Blog, the question "Neil Young: Eternal Hipster, or Doddering old guy?" is posed.

Jerry Lee Lewis on Imus the morning of or the morning before the Letterman appearance and was as Imus put it was a TRUE "Time Capsule Moment".

Then Jerry Lee Lewis on Letterman with Neil Young, another VERY special moment indeed, why should Neil stand up to play guitar, after all Jerry Lee is suppose to be the focal point.

THEN Jerry Lee Lewis on Conan, the 1st song the band made a mistake near the end of the song, which lasted 1-2 seconds, not Jerry's fault; THEN on the 2nd song Jerry overexended his voice range a bit but I loved his enthusiasm.

Bottomline...Jerry had 2 nights he was REALLY on it, and one "off night" if you want to call it that on Conan; but even that was great to me.

But then I got to hang with Jerry & his daughter Phoebe 20 years ago.

I've seen him a number of yrs ago and he was extremely short and lacked any energy whatsoever; however, apparently the next section he played that night he performed great. Neil I've seen him 3 times over a 20 yr period great 2 out of 3 times. Neil, a legend in his own right, on Letterman was NOT standing. I'm sure he is honored to play with the killer.
