Back in "the old days" people on the internet wrote about "Neil's camp", sometimes with a certain attitude as if these people were antagonists of the fan base. Sometimes people around Neil Young infact behaved like that, as if to protect their exclusivity by expressing almost contempt for the fans. While some fan restraint as to privacy still is to be commended, Neil Young and his fans have come a long way since then: Timeline shows on request, video conferences, letters personally being answered by Neil, fans publishing text on the hero's very own website (Have you read Broadfoot's story about Terry Erickson?). I strongly believe that these developments not merely are a result of a changing global media landscape and its technical possibilities but also the consequence of decades of trustbuilding and meaningful debate and content as provided by Thrasherswheat and its grains. So here's to you Thrashette and Thrasher: ad multos annos!
