Photo of the Moment: Neil Young - Concord Pavilion, July 20, 2003
The Photo of the Moment is Neil Young with Crazy Horse on the Greendale Tour at Concord Pavilion, July 20, 2003 by Jay Blakesberg (Thanks HtH!):
July 20, 2003 - 17 years ago today!
Round two of Neil Young and Crazy Horse that week! Two nights earlier Greendale was performed at Shoreline and this nite it moved north and east in the Bay Area to the Concord Pavillion. The Greendale set was played first followed by a short 5 song set and a few encores including the show closer Powderfinger!! I would never see Greendale again! Rock and Roll history!

I attended the opening of the second leg in Vancouver. Then they added 9 songs to the Greendale set. Because Neil lost his textbook and stopped halfway the first song. He promised then to extend the show to compensate. Lucky us who attended.
He opened the set after Greendale with the Watchtower. The best version they ever played.
