Neil Young's Incredible Moments of Triumph & Tragedy
Neil Young's 1954 Cadillac
In what should be another triumphant peak in Neil Young's long, storied musical career, we find ourselves in mourning over the tragedy of his and his new wife's recent losses.
Neil Young and Daryl Hannah lost their home in Malibu in the recent California fires -- including "PEARL 10" -- Neil Young's beloved 1954 Cadillac -- which he writes lovingly about in an essay on NYA "A FIERY EMBRACE : the story of an awesome car and a great country". He writes:
Then -- just yesterday -- came news that Bob Dylan and Neil Young will be in concert at Hyde Park in London on 12 July 2019.
Promoters state the Bob Dylan and Neil Young concerts will be "... possibly the biggest event we have ever delivered in Hyde Park, London.”
Another triumph is the long, long, long awaited launch of unlimited subscriptions to the Neil Young Archives.
"This is a life’s work and it will never be finished."
A totally unprecedented, never been done before by any artist, in any medium ever in human history type of achievement. Every Neil Young recording ever documented; all the music, movies, video, books and photos, manuscripts and press. Practically every single fuckin' thing Neil has ever done in his life is now a true gift and reward for his fans.
Promises made. Promises delivered. Thank you. We are humbled and blessed.
One can only imagine the pain that newlyweds Neil Young and Daryl Hannah are experiencing after the loss of their home in Malibu, California. After their home was destroyed in the recent California fires which Neil has lashed out and lamented over to considerable reaction. Speakin' truth to power -- whether down or up - Neil never lets up.
Their strength, spirit and resiliency is truly inspiring. We are awed.
be the rain -- they need it. we all need it.
