The Farm Aid press conference should be happening shortly and I hope it gets posted to Youtube by someone. I've been to the 2003 and 2014 Farm Aid Press Conferences and they were really something. This year there is so much to talk about with the Climate Change issues and the Grand Solar Minimum (G.S.M.) on top of that which we are right in the midst of and isn't ten, twenty or thirty years in the future. It certainly is an era when you have to do your own research and your own thinking on things and not be spoon fed by the media with an agenda.
Live coverage starts at 3:00 PM today here on Youtube and am a bit bummed that Lukas and also the Particle Kid won't air live. Kacey Musgraves is a hoot and one time out in the Carribian saw here to literally toe to toe with John Prine which was just a mighty fine time well spent:
WISDOM INDIAN DANCERS – 12:40
IAN MELLENCAMP – 12:42
PARTICLE KID – 12:59
LUKAS NELSON & PROMISE OF THE REAL – 1:24
MARGO PRICE – 2:01
JAMEY JOHNSON – 2:46
NATHANIEL RATELIFF & THE NIGHT SWEATS – 3:31
KACEY MUSGRAVES – 4:18
STURGILL SIMPSON – 5:13
CHRIS STAPLETON – 6:08
DAVE MATTHEWS & TIM REYNOLDS – 7:03
JOHN MELLENCAMP – 8:03
NEIL YOUNG & PROMISE OF THE REAL – 9:03
WILLIE NELSON & FAMILY – 10:03

Watchin the live feed here in Brisbane can't wait
Watching from Southeast South Australia.
Tell Me Why, Field of Oppurtunity, Show Me, Powderfinger, Heart Of Gold, Ohio, Children Of Destiny, Love and Only Love
Looks like you can go back in time three or so hours on the live feed if you missed something and want to catch it.
Neil seemed pleasantly all over the map. Love and Only Love indeed. Powderfinger seized the moment. Farm Aid forever!✊
It is evident how much Neil misses Ben Keith when playing his folkier tunes. POTR just don't gel the way other NY bands have IMO. Loal was a huge highlight though.
for some reason I thought they may tear the roof off that shed. but he was largely subdued. Im not complaining. I thought Willie was the best Id seen him in years. BSB 30 he looked, frankly not good. very low energy. Tonight he shined. Chris Stapleton I also liked. hey whats not to like. great show.
I didn't see the performance, but it's nice to see Show Me make an appearance. Peace Trail was a wonderful album, one of Neil's better recent ones, I'm hoping he doesn't ignore it when it comes to live shows.
that was a weak performance all around. thrasher, can't wait for you to call me a 1 percenter or whatever and mention "the muse" or some bullshit. let's all call it what it is...POTR is NOT the right band for neil young. they have no spook, no soul. it's just a bunch of noise, but WITH CONGOS!! neil can still shred the electric, but when you've got that band behind you what's the point?
There's no accounting for taste. Yours, perhaps mostly, at this moment. They are a fantastic band! And they lift Neil's spirit / mind to get him to that special place,,, playing kick-ass shows! You don't feel the spark, you don't see the point. I have less competition on the rail since you won't be there. That's ok with me. There's enough people who "see the point" that Neil can go out on tour anyway. I hope to catch him a 3rd time with PotR sometime before too long. They rock! I am grateful for the live stream! Thanks Neil & PotR!

I actually agree with Joe Mama. They aren't the right band for NY to my ears either and that is ok. Their sound is too safe and too professional for Neil's sound. In saying that I really like The Visitor. Cannot wait to hear Alchemy.
Pay no attention to that mama behind the curtain!
POTR are not Crazy Horse and don't have to be. They know his stuff. They rejuvenate Neil. He's happy with them.
I thought it was a great set by Neil and POTR! Great selection.
I watched the AXS broadcast (and DVR'd it) and the camera work was exceptional. Great job!
There were a few hiccups with sound and equipment but that has to be expected in that setting.
Neil's voice was spot on. His guitar playing was outstanding. You would never take him to be approaching 73.
I thought Lukas did a great job playing opposite Neil. Even trading with him a few times and taking lead.
Powderfinger was a very pleasant surprise. Neil was really into it and so was the band. A fine rendition!
Neil's emotions were really worn on his sleeve last night. He held nothing back. Happiness, anger, a bit comical, sadness.
This was a no bullshit Neil! He implored the crowd to take the Family Farming situation seriously.
"This is real shit, you gotta pay attention or you're gonna lose this" "Look what's happening in the world, please pay attention and support your family farms." Let's see if we can get them growing again."
Heart of Gold was funny as he thought he forgot a verse, but he didn't. "I'm almost ready for Vegas."
White Falcon came out next for Ohio. Great effort by all. Nice background vocals.
Old Black returned for Children of Destiny. Really directed this toward the crowd.
Love and Only Love was a very pleasant surprise to close it out.
Neil shredding Old Black with Lukas and co. driving him on.
The band are really locked in on this one. Great version! Loved it! "BREAK IT DOWN"
Can't wait til the two nights at The Cap!
Remember whenever you see a farmers market, pull over, always STOP and BUY something. DON'T pass it by!
If somebody out there can tell me how that stupid bongo player makes Neil Young’s songs sound better I’ll buy them a Ferrari.
That is an unkind thing to say about a musician. You probably really hurt his feelings, if he were to be reading this blog, which PotR sometimes do. Logerfo is out there doing what he is meant to do. I love the bongo player and all the rest of them. Light a candle. Keep on Rocking in the "Free World." Alan in Seattle
Yeah, okay he’s not stupid, but his percussion makes Neil’s song sound stupid.
I agree on the overall assessment, but you're too harsh on POTR. The set list was all wrong. They're a great band, but they can't do everything Neil. Nobody can. That's Neil.
It'll come. When Neil semi-unplugs with these guys.
I like how he hates Dollar Stores. "There aint nothin fresh in em!" lol and Calls Safeway produce Shitty lol! love it.
POTR is a band and NY respects that. I like their percussion. Everybody watches Neil the whole time. He will show you what to do. They play more songs than CH. its not the first time hes Jacked a band. Rockets? NY is sort of like Chuck Berry. Its 3 chords. POTR never seems bored though. I think they really like him, NY.
Bonjour
merci super
José
