Photo of the Moment: Tea Time with Neil Young and Ralph Molina
There is a gallery of intimate Neil Young photos from the Buffalo Springfield days up to 2016 posted on Rollingstone.com.
The Photo of the Moment above is titled "Tea Time" with Neil Young and Ralph Molina in Redwood, CA in 2007 by photographer Danny Clinch. Clinch discusses the photo session:
Clinch: "The photo of Neil drinking tea was taken at the Fox Theater in Northern California during rehearsals for the tour."Long May You Run: A Neil Young Retrospective," is an exhibition at the Morrison Hotel Gallery in Maui beginning on January 13th which features images of Neil Young as captured by Julie Gardner, Joel Bernstein, Henry Diltz and Danny Clinch.
It was a mixture of different members of Crazy Horse with Ralph sitting next to Neil and Ben Keith just out of the frame. They were discussing the songs Neil would usually play with his other band, only now they were mixing it up – you didn't normally have Ben Keith playing on some of these songs. They were laughing and going over songs and just having a good time. I love how casual it is – his shoes are off, drinking a cup of tea.
Personally, I'm a little envious that this isn't my job – to sit around with my friends, playing and talking about music and drinking tea. … but it is pretty cool that I get to photograph them doing this."

The '07 tour was kick ass.Saw two shows 11/26 Toronto & 11/30 Buffalo.
I just listened to the 12/12/07 NYC show last week and what a show and a nice recording.Still waiting for the official trunk show movie release.I have it on bootleg DVD.Its really hard to think that Ben & Rick are no longer here but their memory lives on.No Hidden Path was worth the price of the tickets.Nice photos Danny Clinch.
Happy New Year Soldier Steve. Good to see you back for 2017.
Yes, glad you mentioned how kick ass '07 tour was. Definitely. You know how much we loved No Hidden Path by how often we played on TW Radio.
And -- of course -- who could forget our pronouncement: "No Hidden Path": The Best Post-1970s Neil Young Song?

Seriously. Anyone who was there for those shows left with singe marks after NHP.
We still have the scars to prove it 10 years after....
Hey Thrasher, will TW Radio be back on the air. What ever happened to Tony and Erik? I looked forward to listening each weekend.
Saw the 11/27/07 show at Massey Hall. First Neil concert. $214 for the ticket and worth every penny.Seen him 4 times since.Only show even close was Psychedelic Pill tour in Toronto. Great music with the Horse. Let's hope Neil takes them out of the barn for one more ride.
@ Soldier Steve - Thanks for asking Steve about TW Radio. No plans at the moment to revive the program just yet. Maybe someday. We'd sure like to do more podcasts and explore ways to spread the wheat around. There's just so much chaff choking the airwaves we're pretty sure we could grow our audience back and then some.
It seems as if Tony & Eric and WBKM may have seen better days but not really sure what's going on.
But TW is always looking to form new partnerships so our door is always open.
@Justin - Good to hear you had a night of value and kept coming back for more.
