A Call to Action...and a Response: An Open Letter to Neil Young
From our good friends at WBKM.org, A Call to Action...and a Response: An Open Letter to Neil Young:
Hey Neil,
This one is going out directly to you.
Hoping you recall us and some of our work: The Comes a Time festival in Vermont to honor your muse, with recorded DVD handed to you; 10 years of refining blueprints to draw Farm Aid to Vermont; honoring Willie up here alongside Senator Bernie Sanders; CH shows in Europe; hosts of the "Thrasher's Wheat Radio Hour", with well over a hundred shows in and still going strong; sharing some Vermont maple syrup with Spooner; and "Ahmet's House", our ongoing mission to honor your old friend and save the arts.
Today we write as a response, to your call of November 9th, issued to draw a focus to the quandary of genetics, coffee, the democratic process and the right of the people to know what they eat. Attention deficit disorder in America is still reversible and this small corner of our nation holds a big key. A strong stand in Vermont now is important for the coming days of struggle elsewhere.
We have a specific plan of action Neil.
America still hungers for a leader to stand with them - and we look to connect the dots and make a strong pact. You're standing up Neil, and so are we. So many years later.....since that night you played the Pickle Barrel...it naturally comes full circle Neil...back to the intimacy and wild of the Green Mountains. Please call so we can discuss what we know can be accomplished.
It's all one cause.....

Farm Aid in Vermont makes perfect sense,Neil !!! There are so many wonderful farms in Vermont, small and large....and the lawsuit filed by Monsanto against the state of Vermont in an attempt to prevent GMO labeling needs serious attention, for sure !!!
A good GMO protest song by another canadian Old Man Luedecke:
