Al Gore and Neil Young: DreamForce '14 Keynote Address - FULL VIDEOS
Last Thursday, Neil Young gave a Keynote Address at DreamForce '14.
We found the proceedings to be quite extraordinary, seeing Neil Young give it his best with Former U.S. Vice President Al Gore on the subjects of clean energy, pure sound and the music of love.
If you're pressed for time and can not watch the full video, we would suggest that you try and find about 3 minutes to watch from ~13:00 to 16:06. This segment -- for us -- crystallizes the essence of Neil, his mission and his music.
Reimagine. Everything. indeed
And here is the following segment from DreamForce '14 where Neil Young lays out the PONO eco-system.

I don't get it?
If you ain't into Neil, that's cool, but why are you here?
go troll elsewhere.
Fucking Doubters.

I'm a huge Neil fan have been for many years....but all this self publicity bores the pants off me. OK PONO who needs it? 99% of music fans can't tell the difference and on his recent releases it's even less audible....no need to swear. We can question everything in a democracy....Neil's made some bad career moves.
@4evayounger - know how you feel. All we can say is that the doubters are lost in their anger. hopefully, someday, they can open their hearts and truly hear the music.
peace
Okay lets all gang up on someone who dares to suggest an opinion which isn't sycophantic worship of the demi-god NY. I am sorry the comment by @4evayounger is one of the most ridiculous postings I have ever read, and for Thrasher to support it. Get a grip...
"Truly hear the music" Thrasher that was impossible on Neil's last release.
I am a different anonymous to the guy who has posted. I am in to Neil big time, have been since I was 17 but at the same time I do not agree or like everything he does. Fans should be free to question Neil's artistic output. This site should be a site that encourages freedom of speech.
I have said this time and time again. This should not be a fanatical site in which if people present an opinion that questions the prophets actions then the apostles try to crucify the non-believer. People should be able to post freely. People should be able to respond with intelligence without the bad language and the 'Go elsewhere' with your agnostic views.
The original post is questioning Neil's speech at a conference to promote salesforce.com. His friends organisation. That is perfectly acceptable.
Thrasher, please post this. You tend not to post my comments when I try to surface the mobbing behaviours of visitors to the site when someone posts a comment which is in disagreement to your perspective.
Freedom of Speech and Freedom of Appreciation.
What would Neil do?
@ 05:54:00 - well, it is hard to keep track of which anon is who which is why we sort of lump you guys altogether. maybe adopt a handle to avoid confusion?
To your point, this is way off base and you know it as a frequent reader & commenter. We don't delete posts that are disagreements of opinion and you know this. Our Comments Policy is directly linked above and adhered to at all times.
So not sure where all this "crucify the non-believer", "Freedom of Speech", etc stuff comes from? Please cite specifics. We debate here on the merits strictly. Regular TW visitors know this well after following us for over 18 years.
Where have we discouraged fans to question Neil's artistic output? It seems the fans don't hesitate to come here to question his latest activity on a daily basis, if you're following TW comments regularly.
PONO doubters? check
Lincvolt doubters? check
[insert album] doubters? check
[insert band]doubters? check
seriously, why so defensive? it's like you're an innocent victim of some massive injustice. Oh no, my negative comments on a fan blog are being questioned, poor me. spare us.
Before asking folks to get a grip, please look in the mirror.
peace
