Looks like the video footage is from the 'Swinging mit Neil Young" documentary. I hope the whole thing is included and not just the performance pieces.
I compared it last night. Those performance clips are from the '71 Stratford show from the "'Swinging mit Neil Young" documentary with I assume, the Massey audio dubbed in. Odd, but it looks nice. I'll take whatever I can get...
I believe they're both different. I just watched the performance of "Tell Me Why" from the "Swinging mit Neil Young" documentary on YouTube( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oWdosSEUiHY ) and the trailer version and I saw that they're both different.
Neil often wore the same clothes throughout his tours, as he still continues to do today, and the begining shot looks similar how it zooms in and all...but his facial expressions and the direction he faces and even the camera placement are different on both performances.
As for the the video of Neil in his car and that during "Old Man" is the same footage from the "Swinging mit Neil Young" documentary...so who knows.
But I believe the Massey Hall video is actual Massey Hall.
I really do hope they release the full "Swinging mit Neil Young" documentary in the archives...but I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
Well after watching the "Needle And The Damage Done" video from Amazon.com...it appears that the Massey Hall video is spliced with the home movie footage from the "Swinging mit Neil Young" documentary.

Even on crummy computer speakers, the music sounds better than many, many CDs. Neil is doing this thing right! (I wonder what bitrate the trailer uses?) I can hardly wait for March 13 (and then whatever else he has lined up for the fall release of Archives Vol. 1)
