sooo excited for the archive releases.
8 CDs-yikes! money is ALWAYS a problem, so i'd better start saving up NOW...though Neil didn't say exactly when...
I START TO FEEL LIKE..JA EVEN LOOK
LIKE AS BEFORE THE GOLDRUSH. NEIL

100% OF HIS CREATIVE WORK.THERE`S
NO TIME TO FADE AWAY FROM THAT ANYMORE...
8 CDs and it's just Volume 1, 1963-1973. Damn. It should be called "When Neil Was Young".
This means the entire Homegrown album will be presented. We will no longer be denied. And, as he said, a fair amount of live stuff is on there. I saw Crazy Horse in the early 70's and I'm ready to hear that again. It was the most riveting performance I ever saw, both in the electric and acoustic sets.
But, the best thing we'll probably get in this package is a DVD performance of C,S,N,&Y doing Down By The River. On a good night, this was powerful magic, with Mr. Stills whipping Neil to dizzying heights on guitar, and Crosby and Nash taking the chorus to the moon. This is Neil at his very best.
Pefore having a change of heart, he called this package the 'Bus Crash Tapes'. Sadly, it meant that we weren't going to get the archive while Neil was alive. I guess there was a silver lining to that aneuryism- Neil wrote a very stirring new album, and he's finally ready to share the rest of his music with his fans. We're both making out like bandits.
