Choose or Lose Seems to Lose Neil?
Major concert news update, although it seems without Neil Young? From MTV.com word that The Dave Matthews Band, Pearl Jam, R.E.M., Death Cab for Cutie, Bright Eyes, Jurassic 5, My Morning Jacket, R.E.M., Ben Harper, Kenny 'Babyface' Edmonds, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, the Dixie Chicks, Jackson Browne, James Taylor and Bonnie Raitt are among the artists taking part in the Vote for Change Tour, which will hit key battleground states across the country in early October.
No word on why Neil dropped out. Maybe he's not willing to sing for politicians? That Vote's For You!
So what do you think about Neil not participating in the Vote for Change Tour - good or bad idea?
Last we checked, the vote was a dead even tie?! Curious about this since fans were so strongly in favor Neil Young's contribution of the song "Rockin' In The Free World" to Michael Moore's Fahrenheit 9/11 film soundtrack.
So get off that couch, turn off that MTV and VOTE!

You know whatever Neil wants to do is OK with me. besides, like he really cares what his fans think?!
Sure, it would be cool to see him singing RITFW with Bruce, Eddie & Dave.
As long as Neil is making relevant music, that's what matters.

Neil may yet surprise.
Much has chenged when he sang "won't be singing for politicians".
Regardless, agree with GrungeDude 'as long as he makes relevant music'.
I'd like to see him team up with Steve Earle. Imagine that.

I'll miss Neil in one of these line-ups too. I agree with moi--Neil Young and Steve Earle would be a great revolutionary mix.

He may have dropped out of the original line up.... but last night at the Dave Matthews/Ben Harper/Jurrasic 5/My Morning Jacket show near Detroit, MI, Neil Young came on stage near the end of DMB's set and played 4 or 5 songs.
It was incredible.
