Support act 'The Inspector Cluso' was cancelled.
That's a shame as they were really great. Did they say why?
Thanks on update RedSun. Bummer, esp if no replacement.

How many of the Ny shows have you seen so far this tour?
Anyone know when / why the Gorge WA shows got cancelled?
Gorge looks like it was cancelled due to very slow tickets sales. Neil addressed on NYA in the letters section.
Aaaaah! Glad I didn’t try to go there! 28,000 is too big even at half empty! I would have loved to get tix for the “Chateau St Michelle” (Woodinville, WA). Anyone got an extra?
Your Brother Alan in Seattle
2nd show in Burnaby, BC still has GA tickets
Ambulance Blues followed by Cowgirl - oh yes!!
In the meantime John Hanlon gave a report on his recent and current pre-occupations that maybe escaped being noticed by some readers here or there (NYA), probably it did not escape the ever vigilant Unreleased Broadfoot Regulars.
Here's a condensed list of release projects
- Work has been done on OTB tracks
- The TTN 50th anniversary edition will consist of 2 LPs with tracks added, that have appeared on NYA Vol. II but have not seen a vinyl release as of yet
- Mirror Ball re-release will see a replacement of digital tracks by analog recordings, to make it a complete analog release
- a release of the 1982 Berlin Trans show is in preparation, as a TC or as a standalone (vinyl) release?
- there are cryptic announcements of five or six additional projects
Although this current tour is far from being through, I guess that there are good chances of a live album. Versions of "Ambulance Blues" and other songs rarely performed live with a full band might support that notion.
And still there is not one song of the new album that had it's stage debut (with the exception of the solo "Let's Roll Again")
Thanks for updates Dionys. Yes, we missed that while tour focused. Will try and post on this one Europe leg completed.
Curious as to which Germany concerts you made it to? Or plan to make?
As I am still on the daily grind until Juli 31st the only concert within days reach for me will be the Stuttgart date. Frankly, I was a little disappointed when I saw the tour itinerary. As a no-flyer within Europe I had hoped for Austrian tour stops (Salzburg, Vienna even) , maybe even München or at least another more southern (Frankfurt) or East German (Leipzig, Erfurt) location.
Ok, good deal. Hope you can make Stuttgart and file a report.
We think you'll be thrilled with the Greendale songs... we were ecstatic.
Sun Green lives on!
Neil Young's latest stream of consciousness travelogue is revealing how desorientating it can be rolling through Europe and playing these shows every other night and sometimes night after night. So for Neil Young his bus was going north from Mönchengladbach to Montreux, while actually he was going south (but uphill) and into more moderate, cooler weather conditions. Unfortunately at present a robust low is making it's way eastward across Central Europe. Montreux and Stuttgart might both be wet shows with a sharp drop in temperatures (down from 30+°C to a mere 17°C), so bring a jacket with your t-shirt. Rolling through western Germany Neil Young sees cooling towers and takes them to be nuclear reactor facilities. Germany phased out nuclear electricity production by 2023, so what was to be seen from the tour bus are either the remnants of these facilities or coal fired power plants (which will be running till 2038, if the fossil dinosaurs have their way). I enjoy these road protocols, it's not the factuality that counts but the perception. Needless to say that I - being a geographer - imagine being on the bus, but then someone pretty soon would be yelling: Can somebody shut him up? I don't know for the life of me where he comes up with that stuff.
I was in Copenhagen and Brussel. The show in Monchengladbach was the best for me. Especially with Ambulance Blues, Cowgirl in the sand and Southerman! The weather was not so warm and gives some energy to the band I guess...
I m still wondering why Neil Young doesn't play with his white falcon. I would be so happy to hear Words one more time...
I try to have a ticket for Paris or Stuttgart.
