Neil and Chrome Hearts were fantastic, really on song with some blistering and crunching sounds. Poncho’s eagle keyboard descended then the band kicked into Hey Hey My My instead of Like a Hurricane! Whilst rockin to the end of 2nd encore, Neil and band were cut off literally less than a minute before end of rollickin version of RIFW, which really spoilt the end of a great night. Shame but we mustn’t let the corporate curfew prevail... Next time will think twice before booking tickets for BST at Hyde Park.

Very good tonight, agree re: BST Hyde Park, Finsbury Park is so much better and Jess corporate. Sound balance was very good and guitars very full. He still plays amazingly well, a little slower maybe and doesn’t quite lift off like he was doing in the 90’s . Always going to miss songs missed out but great to get Love To Burn and the starting 4 songs is a very good opener. Hate all that gold circle BS, fair enough if someone wants to sit in the posh seats drinking Pimms but let the standing be standing with a single ticket price rather than a less than full section stage front and a big gap to where the bulk of real fans will be. Noticed a few broadcast cameras and a drone there so maybe it’ll appear on Tv

A few seconds before the power was reduced..Neil..indecated to the band by lowering his hand that he wanted it volume lower/off. This is the same as cutting/breaking guitar strings when finishing or pinning his shirt and playing with one shoulder off as with CH in Nottingham many years ago. In short Hyde park..over priced, way to crowded...screens that have an oak tree smack bang in the middle of your viewing experiance(depending where you stand) and a real 'hail Mary' when leaving site with a pretty good chance of breaking your ancle on discarded beer cans...but as for being cut off..nope..all planned...as Neil said ..we are in control.

Best Neil gig out of three: Brussel, Berlin, BST. After the gold rush as surprise track. Neil in a spontaneous mood. Doubt the setlist was planned like that. Discussed often with his techs which guitar is next …
Sad he didn’t play Cortez on one of the three dates 🥲
Thinking about flying over to America to see more … it’s that old „was this maybe my last Neil gig“ feeling … not that I hadn’t it already 20 years ago 😂

Danny Witt, not a corporate curfew, a local government one. Both Hyde Park and Finsbury Park are in residential areas and therefore have to comply with relevant regulations regarding noise levels and operating hours, that's the only way they can get a licence to host these big gigs. Both are great venues and if that was your first time there I'd encourage you to give it another chance in the future.

Fantastic performance by Neil and the boys. Quite a challenge to stay on the rail in such heat. Six new songs from my Brussels gig last weekend. Cat Stevens was a great support act. Van Morrison is a curmudgeon and went out of his way to prove it!

Van does what he wants, same as Neil, if you’re into Van then it was a very nice supporting performance with an excellent band. I’d have preferred an extra half out of him to Cat Stevens being 2nd and then get another couple of crowd pleasers. Into The Mystic is quite a way to start and the newer songs are very good but England In The Summertime and Gloria a very decent sign off.

"It is hard to entertain the idea that this could be Young’s last-ever European jaunt. Even as curfew approaches, it looks like he could play forever. After the fourth false ending of “Rockin’ In The Free World”, the organisers are forced to pull the plug and the Chrome Hearts depart the stage in triumphant silence. While people are still sleeping in their shoes, while he’s still got fuel to burn, Neil Young will surely keep on keeping on."

"There is a purity of intent to Neil Young that makes him seem, in this busy live summer of 2025, even more of an anachronism than ever.

At Glastonbury, his ornery denial of current practice felt to some of us heroic - no pyro, no FX, no cabaret style troupe of special guests: the music and the pursuit of the sound was the spectacle. If cruise ship kitsch felt like the prerequisite for legend success at Glastonbury, Young seemed happier than ever to fail on his own terms."

Back home in Leeds after a brilliant trip. Stunning Neil performance, I couldn't fault it, staggering he is still rockin like that at 79. Dublin was superb but this edged it, Neil seemed more up for it. 2 hours 5 mins, 2nd longest show of the tour.

I enjoyed Van and Cat, and also went up to the Rainbow stage for Everyone Says Hi, who also played at Dublin, and were excellent again. Also saw Alice Merton, which was an odd selection for a rock gig, but she played a great pop set.

I had a Gold Circle ticket for my 26th Neil gig, worth the money, fast entrance through the dedicated entrance and easy to get around the site. Cracking view for the gig. My 4th Hyde Park gig, was there for Neil in 2019 and a couple of years ago for two Pearl Jam gigs (both in the PJ fan). 2019 I was in general admission and it was hopeless and too crowded, vowed then if I went back I'd upgrade and definitely worth it.

Thanks @old black! Yes, you're right of course. "Corporate curfew" just sounded a good way of expressing myself post gig. As Anonymous said, Neil was literally 10 seconds away from ending RIFW. They were already 2 minutes over as it was, so they could've waited a few more seconds having seen Neil's signal. Also seemed very rude to the crowd and disrespectful to Neil. As an aside, the Gold Circle access to the pit was the worst aspect of BST. When I saw the Cure in 2019, it was free access via wrist band- if you got there early enough. Given Neil and Robert's sympathy for each other, it's a shame Neil didn't do the same for us!

It wasn't even sixty seconds missing from the encore, they faded the PA literally five seconds before the actual end of the song, and on the right chord. No big deal, I thought it was a dramatic ending!

It was a magical concert loaded with high explosive, and a wonderful day out in an iconic city. Though hard work at times due to the heat.

The sound was brilliant and, in appropriate moments, literally earth-shaking. Had a great spot in general admission, and was surprised by an enthusiastic but (mostly) respectful crowd of all ages, with fans in attendance from as far as New Zealand. I think we even succeeded in out-cheering the Gold Circle! But that's up for debate.

I could not have asked for more. Bravo, fellas.

Scotsman.

Got the post Neil blues after Friday night. Just superb, BST corporate gripes to oneside, he was on it and reaffirmed all the reasons why he’s right up there as one of the greatest ever. Nobody IMHO can play both full on rock and acoustic like him with such a unique style. Been watching back classic performances all weekend, Buffalo’91 probably my favorite in terms of power, intensity and feel. I also felt that was amongst the most apporeciative of an audience I’ve seen Neil, really seemed to be soaking it up. I do hope some performances get released from
this tour. Rust never sleeps have never meant more!
