Hey, that's a great little article! Thanks for posting the link.
More Crazy Horse to come. Neil says 10 shows are in the works and he possibly
has written 5 new songs for a NYCH album!
With Tuscaloosa the next release, and Homegrown to follow, maybe the outline of
NYA Vol. 2 is becoming clearer. Always risky to hazard a guess, right? But if those
albums are "stand alones", that leaves Odeon-Budokan, Oceanside Countryside,
Chrome Dreams and Boarding House to be folded into NYA Vol. 2. Maybe he won't
put them all in, or he'll put in two and also include Roxy and Songs for Judy. It's
Neil. You never know. In a letter he said Odeon-Budokan is going into Vol. 2.
One thought that occurred to me last week is that Tuscaloosa IS TFA 2. It has Buttrey
on drums, and it has different "new songs" (then). Still waiting for the release date,
coming "soon". I am not surprised that NYA Vol 2 is pushed back to Xmas. Why bring
it out sooner when you can bring it out later? It also gives Hanlon time to work on
Chrome Dreams and Boarding House, if they are being included.
Thanks Ken on CH updates.
We definitely need to post on more Crazy Horse concerts coming!

@ Andrew - thanks for info. Updated & credited. Happy to add a link if you'd like.
What a historic photo w/ all 4 guys! Any other memories from the concert you can share? It would make a great Review/Memory of the Moment!
That's my photo of Neil and the Horse from 11/18/76 at NYC Palladium.
I wrote to them and they now have included a credit on my behalf.
Enjoy this site but first time I'm writing.
I taped the show so it's in circulation but the tape stopped before the final two songs.
If you look on Sugar Mountain for this show you'll see a few other photos. I'd been waiting over 40 years for Give Me Strength to be released and it finally came out, not once but twice last year, what a haunting tune.
@ Andrew - very cool! Just updated again to include Sugar Mountain link.
Enjoyed checking out the other photos and reviews on SM. The review by Robert Palmer (@ the other NYT) was interesting in that he found the acoustic set more enjoyable than the electric?!
Was that your 1st Crazy Horse concert? And when was your most recent, if we might inquire?
Thrasher-earlier shows were Time Fades Away MSG, NY 1973 and later that year 11/15 Queens College early show, also taped, but no photos. I saw him in Detroit last July. When I worked in Germany I saw him in Munich 1996, Frankfurt 2003 and Stuttgart 2012. Also saw him at Jones Beach, NY 1989 when Springsteen joined him on stage, 1992 Beacon Theater, NYC and 4/19/99 third row, NYC, only have the ticket stub from that show, but the closest I'd ever been to the stage. I regret I missed him at The Bottom Line in '74. I used to go to the same health club in Manhattan as his manager, Marsha Vlasic, and happened to inform her that Neil gave her a credit on the Freedom CD. Neil inspired me to play guitar but I didn't have enough money then to get his Martin D45 so got the D28 (and some harmonicas) instead.
Where is this mention of 10 shows and 5 new songs coming from? Is that legit?
NYA--Letters to the Editor
Neil writes to one fan, who is advocating for Crazy Horse flags, that
1. Crazy Horse flags is a great idea
2. Lookout Management is planning about 10 Crazy Horse shows
3. the flags will be available as merchandise
In response to another letter he says he is 5 songs towards a possible
NYCH album.
In a fan letter regarding Archives Vol. 2. he says that Tuscaloosa is next,
with an announcement "soon". Also Vol 2 has been pushed back to Xmas.
@ Andrew - like we sometimes say, sounds like you've got trunks of memories to share.
let's see if we can figure out some way to share the neil stories here on TW.
@ Ken - thanks for all the neil news. just posted update on the goodness of it all @
