Neil Young's Tonebender Pedal During Buffalo Springfield Era
The unique tone of Neil Young's music has long fascinated musicians trying to replicate his sound.
Now, a maker of musical sound effects has put out a request for information on Neil Young's music equipment during the Buffalo Springfield era. From Tru-Fi Pedals:
Neil Young in older Buffalo Springfield picture with a Tonebender pedal.Surely, someone out there knows the answer to this critical question.
Model type Mark I or Mark II that is the mystery - Tru-Fi says it's a Mk II due to the time and also he was in the States. I do not believe it was a Mk II being that Neil was in the Calif, and I do not think many Tonebender Mk I got over here. BUT Neil Young was in the circle of musicians so it is possible someone gave him one on tour at the Fillmore etc.
You have info please share !

The first ever all female rock band to be sign by a major was Fanny . They made a cover of Buffalo Springfield so Special Care on in 1970. Please post something about them Thrasher !
There was a story about Buffalo Springfield’s song For "What It’s Worth" on NPR’s Morning Edition 2/21/19. Discussed was how it was written, what it was about and it’s impact in the Vietnam era.
The video is on YouTube!
Thanks Christian - can't say we're familiar w/ Fanny?
Sounds like an opportunity for a guest posting which we would be happy to publish here.
Can you submit some details? A write up w/ links, videos and photos would be great.
Whatever happened to Fanny, anyways? With a band name like that, what could go wrong??? Or maybe ...
@ Grey Rider - cool. fwiw, a link?
Honestly Thrash you’re very much more to do that than me . I know that they were very talented and Bowie said that he would be in peace knowing that they were recognized for what they did. Being An all women band in 1970 must have been so hard .
I think this link will work:
