Nils Lofgren and Neil Young have a very long history and go all the way back to the "After the Gold Rush" days when Lofgren was only 17 years old.
Here is an interview with Nils Lofgren where he discusses recording "Southern Man" for Neil Young's album "After the Gold Rush" (Thanks Joe Lookout!).
More on Nils Lofgren and Neil Young.

Nils Lofgren is great and I must a really fine piano player. My favorite LP from him is Wonderland with 2 classic songs Accross the Tracks and Into the Night. Check it out.
Cool. Love these backstories on how songs evolve.
Wow, love that story.
you kids out there — the first album from Grin, young Nils’ band, is a Must Listen. Produced by David Briggs and has guest participation by Neil Young and Crazy Horse. Seriously: you have to hear this one...
1 + 1 Grin produced by Nash is his best.
you're most welcome! Do hope in the Archives there could be things like this.
have a nice week-end and all our prayers to the victims of people insanity and NRA.
Peace&love
The first and original self titled Crazy horse is a classic and features Nils. If you have a way to upload images I'd love to share the copy Nils signed for me. There is a story as well that Nils shared with me as his first personal F.U. to a record label, but you need to see the sleeve to fully appreciate it......
Thanks to all on the Nils & Neil.
@ ForeverYounger - sure. drop us a line @ Thrasher@thrasherswheat.org
