Neil Young tweets out a message from "The Visitor".
As you may recall, "The Visitor" was referenced during a track by track commentary on his new album 'Hitchhiker' which was live streamed from a radio station in Telluride, CO. (See TRANSCRIPT: Neil Young's Track by Track Commentary on New Album 'Hitchhiker').
So who might "The Visitor" be? There are many out there with thoughts on who "The Visitor" might be and their significance.
And, we have our hunches to on who she might be. And it's not related to Neil channeling TW's blog post on "The Big Shift", as some have suggested.
Let's just say there are events which are Big Cosmic and those that are Small Cosmic. This falls somewhere in between.
And if this all makes no sense whatsoever to you? Then read TRANSCRIPT: Neil Young's Track by Track Commentary on New Album 'Hitchhiker'.
Still perplexed? Well consider that "The Visitor" doesn't have a Twitter account. Or Internet access. Still wondering? Then check links below.
And hitch a ride on that llama...

I am a lonely visitor
How does this previous tweet fit with your "she" theory?

I want the visitor to be Crazy Horse.Come on Neil, were not getting any younger and neither is the Horse.Saddle them up and let's go on another kick ass tour.Start at the Capital Theatre in NY where it was supposed to continue in the fall of '13 and do a 2018 world tour.Who wants Crazy Horse to be the visitor? I sure do.No disrespect to POTR,some great songs in the setlists the last couple years.Anyone hear what Ralph,Billy,Poncho are up too these days? Finally got Hitchhiker in the mailbox today, will be spinning that today.Keep On Rockin'
I'm with you Steve. Longtime fan who REALLY misses Crazy Horse and Neil . Please take them for a ride.
I think the Visitor is merely his muse. It arrives when he doesn't expect it, and he has to be aware so he can take the inspiration to create. That's all. Nothing concrete, or even tangible.
@ Robert - yes, but did you come too late to cause a stir?
@ Babbo B. - very fair point here and thanks for pointing out. In some respects, we think Neil's playing a little game here with all of us on "The Visitor" business. So we've engaged in a little playfulness here on TW, as well.
that said, "The Visitor" can mean serious business, as demonstrated below.
@ Soldier Steve - so that would be "The Visitor*s*". We can only hope for one last ride around the prairie for the 4 HorseMen!
@ wardo - have to say it, but we think you've really nailed it here.
The Vista and The Muse
game over.
we continue...
Soldier Steve, I don't know what the rest are up to, but SD Public TV recently broadcast Billy's show (with Ryan Holzer) at the Opera House in Spearfish.

I think it was recorded earlier this year.

Since Lone Red Rider hasn't weighed in here yet, I'll advance his theory that "The Visitor" is the title of the new Neil/POTR album and we're seeing snippets of lyrics in the tweets. Seems pretty plausible to me.
Yeah thanks, I saw that link posted awhile back and I watched some of it.I think it's the first performance I've seen of Billy Talbot since his stroke in early '14 I think it was then? It's great to see him jamming.I sure they all keep in contact with each other.Neil has said Billy is doing fine, lives in one of the Dakota states I think? Poncho is still in Hawaii I think? Used to be Neil's neighbor? Ralph is near Neil in Zuma Beach area I think? Us die hard crazy horse fans can only wish for one more studio album and tour.Long May Crazy Horse Run!

My gut says the VISITOR is the next album title...... but......what do I know.
Peace.
"Some have noted, after hearing this, that this recording may be a high water mark for me, hard to match, yet here we are 40 years later and The Visitor will arrive soon, with his own ideas."
Neil is playfully telling Some that the next album, titled "The Visitor", will eclipse the beauty of Hitchhiker. The next album has its own ideas as to whether Neil can create a more enthralling work than one he recorded 40 years ago. The album will say, "listen to me and your doubt about Neil's musical abilities will be assuaged." Through "The Visitor" Neil will tell those among his fans, his peers and in the music industry "I still see the vista. I hear the muse. I continue."
@ bob g - thanks for link.
@ Babbo B. - we always listen to the Lone Red Rider. Seems pretty plausible to us too.
@ Soldier Steve - we can only wish for one more studio album and tour. If we had to pick one or the other? A tour, of course!
@ Dan - lots.
peace.
@ Hounds That Howl - nice. So you think you're ready for The Big Puzzle?
You can't handle The Big Puzzle, yet ...
continue
I back Babbo B!
