Looks like an awesome lineup to me.
That is a really strong line up. I'd love to be there. Maybe some year I'll make it across the Atlantic...
Definitely worth crossing the big sea.. pity not being able especially to see Neil jamming with Metallica
Wondering 'bout the reason why so far there has been only one compilation cd including excerpts from Bridge shows. Can this be 'only' due to labels and managers (read money..) or what else? Through the yeras there have been some powerful shows very much worth an official release..

No Pegi?
Does anyone know of a presale & password needed. I know the regular sale is Monday August 29th.
We are totally ready to go. Plane tickets, hotel, rental car and getting the kids there to enjoy a Neil weekend. All done. I got to say with this lineup we think our monies will be better spent on another winter California vacation. Most of the bands are cool but for all the expense to only to see them for 30 or 40 minutes at the most and maybe Neil for a hour just isn't making sense to me right now. The vote now is to cancel. If a mind blowing artist or two is added, then maybe. Trust me this isn't what we wanted
Peace always
Chris
@Chris - so glad you're planning for Bridge but sorry to hear you have reservations.
Here's what we tried to say in the post linked above "The Essence of Bridge School Benefit Concerts".
The lineup is not the primary reason to go. Nor the secondary reason. The lineup is tertiary.
It's all about the Kids. And this isn't something easily grasped until you are deeply immersed in BSB weekend.
Then there are the rusties from around the world. The campfire sing alongs, OPL, IRF, etc.
After that, the music is icing on the cake. It is a very unique concert that can't be conveyed in words but only via the feeling experience.
We say go for it! And you just never know if this year will be the last dance...
@Andy - Pegi has only performed one time at Bridge, in 2014, but I'm sure she'll be there as always.
Really thinking about flying in for this from NYC. A couple of question for folks who have been to the Bridge shows before. How good or bad are lawn seats for Shorelines? Does this event always sell out the first day? I can get a great deal on air and hotel but don't want to book until I have tickets. Would not mind doing lawn for one day but will not go through the hassle of going there unless I can get a reserved ticket for at least one night.
even acts you never heard of or dont expect to like you end up enjoying. I have seen 18 years of Bridge concerts sometimes both days. a poster laments that he will only see 30-40 minutes of Neil Young. Believe me youll see enough Shakey. He opens the sho with 3-5 songs solo. he joins about half the other acts on stage. he plays his own set. Theres a whoever is left finale of nearly all artists to end the show. by the post curfew ending youll be sick of him. Lawn is far away. its why they have the giant screens. Lawn tickets are always available. Seating sells pretty fast. get there a minimum of 90 mins early to set camp on lawn.
The last time csny played there, I was blown away, and I wasn't even there, I watched it live streaming on youtube.
tickets are always available day of at the box office. this helps avoid the Ticketmaster Sodomy Fee (TSF). I have walked up 2 hours prior and got good tickets mid way into 100s. I wonder if Pegi got the ranch. The friday before is always a BBQ there where bands work up their collaborations for the weekend.
I would think Eddie Vedder and/or Pearl Jam might be on the surprise guest list. I cannot envision a 30th Bridge School concert without them.

Can I get the performance order? I will arrive late and want to be sure I'm not missing my favorites
can we bring food in? or do we need to purchase food at the venue? thanks
