Helsinki was my 9th NY concert since 2008 and first with POTR.
Positive vibe and genuine happiness is how I would describe what I witnessed on Sunday evening in Helsinki.
I've never seen NY this chatty with the audience before. Apart from that he seemed to be in a good mood and constantly made jokes with the POTR members.
Only downside were the circumstances, several sections of the arena were closed due to poor sales. However this didn't seem to stop the band from giving an incredible performance at least I won't forget. Personal highlights Walk on, Alabama and When you dance among other.. Thanks Neil and POTR. Welcome back anytime!
i really need one of these shows. ive been over 30 times and hes never been very chatty letting the music speak but I think I would enjoy that. thanks for the review.
wsanjose now in Orland by way of Spokane valley
I pretty much agree. Standing for four hours on the concrete floor was no pleasure but the music.
Oldies of course, acooustic gems like Old Man, on The White Falcon Words. And the Old Black. DBTR was the best version, I have ever witnessed. My daughter was impressed by the apocalyptic version of The Monsanto Years. I have no reason to disagree with her. Proud father.
Singing, applauding, stomping feet and clapping hands was just what I had expected to be.
Neil has a band that I wish he will keep and cherish. Main thing is that it's all one song.
I'm happy to see the band in Berlin. I love the Waldbuehne venue. Hopefully this time we are having the Hurricane!
The show was really really good. I've seen Neil 7 or 8 times and this was the best one yet! 3 hours 10 minutes did not feel too long.
High lights for me were the POTR. The band is absolutely fantastic. For songs, Human Highway, DBTR, Mansion on the Hill, Monster Years and the final encore When you dance where the best ones. The whole set list was really strong.
Neil had some technical problems with Words so it was not as long as I would have hoped.
Stupid auto correct! Monster Years is not new song, Monsanto Years.
By the lyrics of the song, Monsanto is quite a Monster.😀
Chambers Dictionary definition of 'Monster' includes 'Anything deviating from the usual course of nature. Anything of abhorrent behaviour.'
That's Monsanto in my opinion.
