This November, the legend that is Neil Young turns 70. Over the years he has provided us with some truly astonishing music (astonishing in a good sense, for the most part!) and, for me (and many others), he sits at the very top of the pile when talking about the greatest solo artists of all time.
Please come and join us on Saturday November 14th at The Windmill in Brixton to celebrate Neil's 70th birthday (and 50 years as a recording artist), with special guests and cover versions spanning his time with Buffalo Springfield and Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, through his solo career and records with Crazy Horse, right up to the present day.
Performing at this show, we have:
BASTARDS OF YOUNG - a seven-strong Neil Young/Crazy Horse tribute band featuring drums, bass, piano, multiple vocals and all the guitars, the core of which is provided by the team behind the highly popular 'Retrospectacular' series. They will be performing a 90 minute set of NY hits.
BRENT NEWMAN & THE BROKEN ARROWS - a genuine Canadian, born, like Neil Young himself, in Ontario, Brent lived in London, UK in the early part of the 00's and experienced success around the globe with his band The Koreans. Now recording and performing with his band The Broken Arrows, we're very excited to have Brent over from Canada for this show to perform some NY classics.

DEAD FLOWERS - often found performing alone or as a duo, the versatile and charismatic Ian Williams brings the full band Crazy Horse style rock assault of Dead Flowers to The Windmill for this show. Much like a modern Neil Young show, expect something from Ragged Glory and some other loud stuff.

LOWPINES - ex-guitarist/vocalist with London based alt-rock act Bear Driver, and current bass player, guitarist and co-writer with Sub Pop's Lyla Foy, Oli Deakin is also making waves with his sublime and understated solo project Lowpines. Catch him here performing a mix of his own material and that of Neil Young.

MARK BENTON & LEE CHILDS - having performed in various highly regarded indie bands in Brighton and London over the years (currently Seadog, Man Ray Sky and Perfect Flaws), Mark and Lee are two powerful vocalists and talented multi-instrumentalists. They will be performing a full set of Neil Young cuts.
