As Hounds That Howell texted us after concert:
"Most intense DBTR I've ever experienced. Lots of new guitar and vocal phrasings. Great new Interpretations. POTR took it to a new Level.
MicaH adds musical texture with his multi instrument talents. Long Grain is looking down smiling on him as he bows his guitar. The conga section provides a beautiful sway at times a touch reggae often Hawaiian breezey. POTR is a worthy addition to Neil's lineup of
Bands. This Rustie hopes their contribution to Neil's Album catalogue grows. "
Sooner or later, the promise was REAL ...
Great to see so many rusties on the rail in Philly. Neil really loves Philly, clearly. An awesome night. Good to see Rick O, Pattie, Bill, Howell/HtH, Bruce, Deb, Leo, Art, Leslie, Brian/KLH & Road Dog, Chuck, Jim, Cristina/LW, and so many others. you guys are the best. true pit love. respect the pit.

Really looking forward to Mansfield. One must assume that the wheels are really turning in NY's head about the incredible reality and future possibilities with POTR. The stars have certainly aligned on this relationship.
need to agree with the Thrasher here. Over 40 years of catching Neil in all his crazy, ragged, wtf are you kidding me. Pinks to blue notes, to the horse and back, trans band to trans solo. From csny to friends and relatives, from solo loud to solo shut up ass hole, from the west coast to the east coast and now in the fly over state of Michigan, he makes it all sound good. Thanks Neil for keeping hope alive
Yes, The Zuma Band, exactly ... POTR is the REAL Neil deal.
looks like the doubters have failed yet again.
love was a winner there overcoming hate.
Not missed Neil since 1987 in the UK. This album and tour is very, very, very special. Doubters !!! What the flip are they? This album is a wonderful experience. I hear bits of Zuma, Living with War, Reactor, and other stuff. I know for a fact I haven't stopped smiling since it dropped on my doorstep.
We are lucky people to have Neil.
Max O'Webster.
I feel like I'm stating the obvious, but Neil really needs to keep working with POTR. The chemistry between them is something else. Imagine if they went in and recorded another album. No recurrent concept or theme throughout, as with the last few albums, but in the vein of Ragged Glory, or more recently, Psychedelic Pill. Just straight up, good old fashioned rock n' roll, unfiltered. Neil could end up seeing another critical comeback. Then again, the muse should always come first, so we'll never know what we'll get. Doesn't hurt to dream, though, does it?
