That is pure gold, ooh ooh oooh.
Richest vein in any mountain.
I wonder how it is for Neil to be only a part of this one, and in a differing delivery than how he has played this alone for so long. Then again, how can the original be replaced?
Come September I wanna be where they are.
I think it says a lot about Neil (and/or Steve and Richie too for that matter) that nobody has yet said "I'M IN CHARGE OF THIS" Maybe they NEEDED to wait 40+ years...
Just too bad that Dewey and Bruce aren't there to enjoy the moment... But I'm sure they're rocking along in the chorus that is the great gig in the sky.
According to Stephen, he and Neil were having lunch one day back in September thinking of something 'fun' to do for the Bridge School Concert. Stephen say; "let's do the Buffalo Springfield for the show. Neils says; "I'll call Richie and see if he's up for it."
The mechanism for the concert was already in place and the logistics were taken care of. It was initially supposed to be a one off thing, but afterwards, they all said to go forward to the next stage. and we're all so lucky that they did.
