A Surreal Cover of "Expecting To Fly" by Metric
Some very surreal imagery for a Metric video of "Expecting To Fly", a Buffalo Springfield cover, written by Neil Young.
From Blurt:
"Over the holidays, our talented pal Christopher Mills, who previously created a short film for our song 'Collect Call,' continued the narrative with his gorgeous video for our cover of Neil Young / Buffalo Springfield's 'Expecting to Fly,'' says frontwoman Emily Haines.
Also, see Emily Haines interpretation "The Maid Needs a Maid".

Oh, i am very glad that this cover made it here. Interesting, as Metric is a canadian band, too. And a very awesome one, as well. Check out "Gimme Sympathy", "Too little too late" or "Gold Guns Girls"
Thanks for posting!
That song is a perfect example of melancholy. Sounds like she has the sniffles.
I was thinking DEEP resonance like what we find in Margo Timmins or Hope Sandoval's melancholic-pensive tonal range.
There are only a few song of Neil's that you don't just show up to do. You have to actually sing it from a survivor's POV.
Superb cover.
I love this, have listened to it several times, and will keep on listening. Very quirky, and strangely beautiful- not unlike someone else we all know a little bit about.
