50+ Reasons Why Neil Young's Music Matters

 

Over on Far Out Magazine, the editors have compiled a list of every musician to appear on Neil Young's studio albums. (Thanks Alan! Check your SPAM folder)

While we did not do an exact count, it looks like well over 50 musicians.  In a similar vein, we here at Thrasher's Wheat started a similar endeavor 25 years ago and this is what we came up with on 50+ Reasons Why Neil Young's Music Matters.

      regarding the Far Out Magazine list, we've heard from some folks on obvious omissions.

      For example, Far Out Magazine missed:

      Most of Promise of the Real

      None of Pearl Jam

      Bang on,Thrasher.You're right with the ones you mentioned.Did I miss David Crosby,Graham Nash and Stephan Stills as well?Cees Mostert,the Netherlands,Europe.

      Good point Cees. Yes, key band mates are omitted here b/c CSN & Crazy Horse have many multiples of dedicated pages to those musicians and bands.

      nevertheless, it would be good to link over.

      we'll work on that sometime. obviously we're in a bit of a lull here lately so will get around to sometime on an update.
